where to start...

Hassled · 14/10/2010 20:50

Oh dearie dearie me :o.

OrmRenewed · 14/10/2010 20:51

I don't want to be yummy. I am not a danish pastry. And even if I was a danish pastry I would not want to be 'yummy' I would rather be delicious.

So, no thanks.

traceybath · 14/10/2010 20:55

Thanks Glam but we're terribly stylish already sweetie Wink

blushingm · 14/10/2010 20:56

shouldn't it be yummy mummies ?

bunnymother · 14/10/2010 21:00

Glamrosie, this isn't the sort of website where your post will be well received. Possibly you meant to post on Netmums instead.

dexter73 · 14/10/2010 21:06

Seriously though, have you booked your Christmas manicure? Can you imagine the shame of Christmas Day with unmanicured nails!!!!??? The horror!

Heartsease · 14/10/2010 21:12

Quite, dexter. Or worse, sitting down to turkey unwaxed Shock.

GeekOfTheWeek · 14/10/2010 21:16

The turkey unwaxed? Surely its feathers will burn in the oven.

scotsgirl23 · 14/10/2010 21:32

splutters at image of waxing the turkey.....my dh is clueless about cooking, can I give him that as a task???

Perhaps the 'y' is a reference to the plucked turkey look?

Heartsease · 14/10/2010 21:44

Sorry, that should have said 'waxed turkey' of course. What kind of wax do you all prefer for your turkeys? I like to leave a landing strip.

GeekOfTheWeek · 14/10/2010 21:56

My turkey likes a hollywood, looks smoother when in the middle of the table Wink

nameymcnamechange · 14/10/2010 21:58

Roffle. Oh roffle.

Glamrosie · 14/10/2010 21:59

Wow, you lot are harsh. Am new to this and all I wanted to do was to share something I was trying to start up as a working mother with other interests, thanks. Sad

That poor turkey, from her blog, Glamrosie is saving a "huge red candle" for Christmas. I don't fancy the turkey's chances, especially if it's been waxed.

Yes, do stay. There's lots of stylish ladies here (I can vouch for tracey and bunny!) and we love shopping and helping each other find good new stuff.

I think as well as disliking 'yummy mummy' it did sort of sound as if you just dropped it for a spot of self-promotion rather than wanting to share a love of fashion.

Get stuck in, have fun. If you're an avid online shopper I'm sure you'll be able to post a fair bit with lovely links for people!

Glamrosie · 14/10/2010 22:17

Thanks so much Fleecy, was trying to find how to delete my thread when I read this. Ok, point taken, really didn't mean to offend anyone at all. Yummy Mummy name noted & will not be used again.

Really? Blimey, that's a lot in a day!
I managed to hit 'hide this thread' so keep having to go back - how do I un-hide? Challenging myself to toughen up with this!
