Day One - Vaping

At midnight I quit smoking. I have a Fresh Cog starter kit with 30ml of 16MG cappuccino flavoured liquid. It's not the best - USB charger and only cost £30 but it seems to do the job.

Im completely new to vaping. I enjoy it but it's nothing on a cigarette. I seem to be vaping non-stop too as I REALLY want a cigarette (have been smoking for ten years, on tobacco for the last five). I don't understand all the terminology and things you can buy - to me it's battery, liquid, mouthpiece.

I want to be completely nicotine free in a year when DP and I start trying for baby #3 so any help or advice is very much appreciated. I'm at home all the time (chronic illness, DD1 off from school with bad tonsillitis & work from home) so I'm not used to going without.

Excellent sheand! Get some higher nicotine if you're still struggling a bit but you've passed a massive landmark - trying a real fag and realising how fucking rank they are!

Yeah I've done the same, had a fag after a few days of vaping. My problem is that I've learnt to drag differently, so smoking a cigarette is a different experience as I'm drawing and holding like it's weed, which isn't good when it's a cigarette. The taste of a cigarette is a lot stronger and quite repulsive, which you don't notice when you've killed off your sense of taste and smell by smoking, but you definitely notice when it starts to come back after vaping.

To be honest, I still crave cigarettes when I've been drinking beer, and smoking them doesn't achieve anything more than letting me go longer without using my ecig. I do like the instant hit from a cigarette though.
