Hooray to getting our own space (within giving up smoking).

Flowers & Wine (gin) to MNHQ for giving us this space.

I'm hoping some of our most knowledgeable vapers are going to start threads about specific aspects of vaping.

I tried to go down to 6 from 12 (nearly 2 years in) & just couldn't do it - was attached to my vape like a baby to a dummy!

How much do you vape on a night time? I seem to be sat with it for 4 hours on an evening.
I've picked one room that I sit in, with scented candles, and I think I can smell it the day after!!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 08/08/2014 20:51

I vape loads of an evening, rock. I've stopped paying attention or timing it. I get through about 15ml of 18mg a week at a cost of about £3. I think this is on the lowish side compared with the average. Don't worry about it. Sounds like you're doing really well Smile

rockpink · 08/08/2014 21:05

Well I haven't killed anyone yet plenty! And I'm feeling and doing okay.
But its a Big Night Out tomorrow with the girls, several of which smoke. One has asked me to buy her an e-cig like mine so I hope to evangelise to her Grin
Where are you buying your stuff from for £3!?

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 08/08/2014 21:12

Ooh good luck on the night out. Take spares of everything and don't underestimate how much juice you can get through when you're on the juice Grin I take a bit of emergency next-strength-up juice too.

Premier Ecigs - £2/10ml. It's nothing fancy and it's PG heavy which some people don't like. It's consistently quite good though and does me fine Smile

rockpink · 08/08/2014 21:14

Thank you I'll check them out. PG heavy is lots of vapour isnt it?

freyaW2014 · 08/08/2014 21:19

I've been vaping 21 months and haven't smoked at all in that time. (I was a heavy smoker for 20 years). My dad and I have up together and he smoked heavily for 40 years. We both use Totally Wicked products but initially was with VIP. We have also been lucky enough to visit 2 of their factories, one in Lancashire and one in Germany and are due to fly out to Florida in a week and see their 3rd factory! My dad won a competition with them designing an e cig and t-shirt and the prize was this VIP tour of everything. It's been an amazing experience and in my opinion totally wicked products seem to be the best. We spend about £50 a month for both of us on everything and rarely have any problems with quality. I only vape tobacco flavour and my ad triple menthol but have tried them all in their vaping lounges! I think when you find the right flavour all the others are just a bit of novelty.

crazynanna · 08/08/2014 21:24

Just to show you my little invention for keeping my device upright. It is a £2 toothbrush holder

Well I like menthol (should say really like) so any recommendations would be lush :)
Trying menthol asylum atm, nice but my, does it get used up quickly! !

freyaW2014 · 08/08/2014 22:09

Fair enough poltergoiseThough £50 a month for 2 people is a huge saving from former smoking times! I also think it's worth it for the quality tbh, some cheap brands put people off as they can be crap..like I said it's been 21 months and not smoked at all since!

ineedausername · 08/08/2014 22:29

Me...
I have an Alice in Vapeland sample pack but I honestly prefer Triphammer and Alchemists Cupboard....
I just seem to be disappointed with plain flavours, I should've never started on the gourmet stuff!

FunnysInLaJardin · 08/08/2014 22:36

Hello and a special Hello to Magi Grin

I have been vaping for nearly a year now and have just bought my 3rd battery a smoketch sommat or other and proper glass clearo's. I gave my last lost of 200 silk cut to a mate as a leaving pressie and so am a fully fledged vaper I guess! I vape Gold and Silver with the odd foray into caramel but anyhoo tis all for tonight.

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 08/08/2014 22:41

Pleased to hear you've found something that works for you Freya, however I wouldn't recommend TW to anyone. From what I've seen it's just other manufacturer's products with a ghastly logo stuck on it and a big price hike. £50 a month is way more than we spend for three of us.

Also I don't like their business practices. They behaved apallingly on a certain vaping forum and actually managed to get it temporarily shut down. Then there's the whole UKIP support thing ...

Well done on 21 months though, that's brilliant!

Crazy I'm loving the upside down hollowed out fly agaric ecig holder Grin

Noooo Polter, don't list the names! You do realise in going to have to look them all up now?!?!
I've made a promise to myself not to buy anymore until I empty my box!
Just got (from triphammer) today:
Key lime pie
Toffee popcorn
Sour watermelon slices
Trippy tots
Rainbow drops

Actually not really rating the key lime pie, it's ok, but definitely not a fave! I'm using it in my naturevape clearo to use it up faster!

magimedi · 10/08/2014 11:34

Hallo Funnys - Can't believe it's a year!!! Well done you!

Is there a vape shop in your town or have the 'usual powers' stopped it? Grin

Has any one used Just Vape ? Was waiting for a train a few days ago & got chatting to a fellow vaper who works for them & they are based just up the road from me.

FunnysInLaJardin · 10/08/2014 14:22

Hello Magi One or two shops selling vape stuff have popped up and yes a year, although it was hardly difficult!

Allergictoironing · 11/08/2014 13:37

6 months today!!!!! Grin

That's 26 weeks, 182 days, or 4368 hours fag free.

273 packs which is 5460 cigarettes NOT smoked compared to when I first started vaping, costing a shade under £2000 Wine.

Well done allergic! Flowers

magimedi · 11/08/2014 17:27

Utterly brilliant, Allergic.

What are you going to do with that £2K?

OP posts:
Allergictoironing · 11/08/2014 20:36

Magi - eating food, putting petrol in my car, paying my bills!

Thank the Gods for friends like mine - 60ml of liquid at cost price today, a big packet of my favourite tea from my dsis, and the loan of a decent saucepan from my dsil (mine that size just died).

rockpink · 11/08/2014 22:42

Do any of you know, is there a vaporiser with a battery monitor? mine expires when I need it most!

PlentyOfPubeGardens · 11/08/2014 23:34

Yes the button light on my MVP changes from green to amber then red when it's running out. I think some of the smaller innokin batteries do it too, can anyone confirm?
