Honestly - I cannot believe they removed your last thread @KumquatSalad!!! The hypocrisy of them allowing unmitigated stepparenting bashing on a STEPPARENTING board & then removing a humorous thread calling out those attitudes is unreal.

I didn't know and neither did my DH. I was aware one of the SC was tricky, one also lived with us. DH & EXW seemed to get on well having grown apart after being together a very long time. EXW wanted the divorce.

Neither of us knew how jealous EW would get of our relationship, my relationship with her DC or how things would change when we had our own DC.

And the blame all sits on my lap. Not DH or EXW. Yes I've made mistakes but I haven't deserved where we're at now.

It's easier to blame a SM than look at themselves and see their part.
