@Walkingthedog46

Bunny ears has been around for decades and done by some ‘wit’ who thinks they are hilarious. So boring - yawn.
That's what I was going to say, to me it means that the person doing it is a childish idiot behaving like a 9 year old.
chickenyhead · 03/11/2020 22:02

Ewwww

I have only ever known it as a photo bomb type thing. Certainly no longer indicates anything sexual to most people.

Is your ex down with paedo secret signals? Good to know.

ghostmous3 · 03/11/2020 22:06

dont worry dp knows hes was being daft and my girls dont mind him messing about because they never get it with thier own dad and hes only ever done the bunny ears once

I love that they all get on..it really is only messing about and not because he thinks he's hilarious

It is absolutely not universal for it to have “sexual connotations” — or anything to do with Playboy bunnies Hmm

Do people not realise in the most basic way that these things do not have a fixed, consistent meaning? Gestures often have many different possible meanings shaped by regional culture, the age of the person, the background of the person etc.

Context is relevant, and the context here is that your ex has a tiny, nasty mind

ghostmous3 · 03/11/2020 22:07

Yes I think that's where hes got it from..porn and from school.
But hes 39 and I'm 43 and I should imagine.noone gives it a second thought these days.

I know the contacts thing is disgusting. Theres a lot more going on and I'm trying not to be the one stopping contact..but my dds are making noises themselves now..and I'm listening to them

My granny most certainly wasn’t down with the paedo secret signals.

It definitely did have sexual connotations as far as she was concerned because that is how I know what it meant.

Right. As far as she was concerned. Also some others on this thread.

But those for whom it has fuck all to do with anything sexual, and is just silly, also have a completely valid point of view. It doesn’t automatically always mean the worst thing it could theoretically mean.

It doesn’t, for example, mean OP’s DP is making sexual jokes about her DD

chickenyhead · 03/11/2020 22:15

@Kcar

I so didn't mean to imply that she was Blush

I was aiming for Ex creating an issue from nothing.

Not that your granny did that..

Oh I give up x

OptimisticSix · 03/11/2020 22:22

Means nothing to me, and even having read the original meaning it still has no relevance as far as I'm concerned. It's just silliness, my little ones think its hilarious to do Grin

steveuk1979 · 11/11/2020 10:00

When I was at school, it was often said it mean 'kiss you now, f**k you later' never made any sense at the time

LoveMyKidsAndCats · 06/12/2020 21:07

It means nothing. It's just a silly fun thing.

LoveMyKidsAndCats · 06/12/2020 21:09

Omg your ex is messed up op.

PLEASEHELPMERIGHTNOW · 13/03/2025 08:16

at my school it meant turn around and kiss me which is not as bad compared to kiss me now F* me later
