The Bonus Mums (BoMs) Wine drinking thread is now resuming normal service on SP.
Take a seat on our Passive Agressive Furniture and pour yourself a nice Wine.

Cakes and Double G&Ts are also welcome.

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 13:56

Afternoon Ladies Grin

GinAndWater · 07/06/2011 14:10

I'm here Smile

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 14:21

yay im not alone now :)

GinAndWater · 07/06/2011 14:25

One day Winter, you will long for those quiet moments.

I promise I won't say I told you so when you complain your hands are always full Grin

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 14:40

Yes thats what I keep telling myself Grin

GinAndWater · 07/06/2011 14:47

So how's things with the house ? Have you sorted out the rooms ?

nenevomito · 07/06/2011 14:54

What Gin said, but with more laughing.

I remember complaining to DH how bored I was on mat leave and how I just wished that DS would get a move on and be born.

Hahah hahaha hahahahahahahahahaahaaaaa

Now I have to make do with running off on weekends to drink too much and pretend I am all sophisticated Grin

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 14:55

Erm house... good question. DP been working (not that im complaining because we're really struggling for money) but that means the babys room has come to a halt. However FIL popped round yesterday and offered his services to paper the box room. Then mum will come over to paint it as im banned from step ladders and standing on chairs Hmm

Once thats done, I can then blitz the rest of the house as half the crap stuff is off into babys room.

Im more chilled about the house now tho, I just want to get babys room set up so its ready and I know if im missing anything.

GinAndWater · 07/06/2011 14:58

BH- Grin

GinAndWater · 07/06/2011 15:00

IME Winter, don't stress too much about baby's room being ready, DD slept in a basket next to my bed for ages, until about 4 months.

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 15:12

Its more so I have somewhere to put everything. We dont have a landing, our room and downstairs there isnt really anywhere to 'store' things, so if I can get the room sort of done then I have somewhere I can shut off with everything in it Grin

GinAndWater · 07/06/2011 15:41

ah Storage issue- I feel for you. Not a single cupboard here apart from the kitchen. I have resorted to Seagrass Boxes and Blanket Boxes.
I've had to purchase wardrobes for our bedroom and for DD as well. Still not enough space for all the children's toot all our stuff.

I feel your pain.

nenevomito · 07/06/2011 16:14

WL - my nursery is still full of crap. My thoughts are that so long as dd can't reach anything through the bars of her cot, its OK!

yoshiLunk · 07/06/2011 18:17

Ginny, was it a washing basket? I don't know why but that's this image I got when you said "DD slept in a basket next to my bed"

it sounds like to just had one knocking around and thought "that'll do, 'bout the right size?' 'yep, perfect'

Grin

same here actually - but it was a moses basket

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 18:20

Ive got a rocking crib for our room, DP/Me/DBrother/Mum/Dad blah blah blah we're all big babies, according to my growth scan im measuring 1 1/2 weeks ahead although they havent altered my dates so pleased I have the crib as it will hopefully last a bit longer. (BTW it was an ebay bargin :) )

yoshiLunk · 07/06/2011 18:27

Ah lovely, phew

nenevomito · 07/06/2011 18:39

My step child sleeps in this.

Its not so bad now they've made friends with the spiders. Before then it was whine, whine, whine all the time.

yoshiLunk · 07/06/2011 19:54

Oh it's very spacious babyh, and dry, what more could they want.

nenevomito · 07/06/2011 20:07

I know. It wasn't cheap, but to listen you'd think I'd been mean.

KaraStarbuckThrace · 07/06/2011 20:59

It is certainly very roomy, you can even stand up in it BH!

BTW If any of you wants to be friends on FB, pm me so I can add you.

I promise not to be offended if you don't ... or if you are not on FB Grin

WinterLover · 07/06/2011 21:20

Hey Kara :) How you doing? Managed to get any rest?

Im in pain ladies, you'd think at being nearly 26 id have learnt that wind+sun = burnt skin... obviously not... It was cool on sunday so I had my strappy top on and sat in the field for hours.. im now rather red and DP keeps calling me rudolph Hmm

KaraStarbuckThrace · 08/06/2011 05:44

Ow poor you!
Get some Aloe Vera gel (Holland & Barrett sell it) as that is great for sunburn!

Do you remember when we had that really hot Easter weekend 5 years ago? I got sunburnt then too Blush I was 31 at the time....

Got a really good night's sleep, went to sleep about 9ish, woke up just after 4 (previously been going to bed 10-11pm and waking at 2-3am!) doze a little longer then got up just after 5am as wide awake! DS is at nursery so can nap in day if I need to. Hoping the rest will help encourage me into labour :)

WL - how are you feeling, won't be long before you reach the third trimester?

WinterLover · 08/06/2011 08:01

Im using tee tree lotion at the min and im going brown Grin

Im 30 weeks on Friday not long left at all now. Other than tender bump when LO lays breech or transverse im doing well now.

Been up since 1.30 though, managed to get hour or two on sofa tho.

Pleased you havd a good night sleep, fingers crossed it starts labour for you :)
