We start with the first all teams season launch on 18 February. Ferrari reveal their 2025 car the day after.

Pre season testing will take place on 26 to 28 February in Bahrain. Australia will host the opening race on Sunday March 16th.

Dieter's son has been around quite a bit recently so maybe he has had an influence too.

Sky Sports News is reporting that Horner has told Martin Brundle he was given no reason for the sacking.

I find that hard to believe. Maybe he just doesn’t want to say (as is his right).

Wow. I hadn't seen the news but I came on mn and there were 24 unread posts on this thread so I knew something must have gone down in the f1 world😅 Will have to wait and see how this plays out.

There is no settlement agreement when someone is sacked.

There can be with high earners. It can get round the employment rights bit. You don’t get warnings, performance management etc but you will get a goodbye payout.

They must have followed a legal process to dismiss him, otherwise he can claim unfair dismissal. Do you really believe he walked into a room and was just told “your sacked pack your things and get out”?

Exactly a settlement agreement.

You can at this level. Red Bull know they will have to pay him a load of compensation and will just be treating it like a business expense.

@gingercat02 thank you. That is a good summary of all the known issues. I hadn’t realise the Perez contract termination cost RB quite so much. I also think Perez brought £ in sponsorship from his backers so a big financial hit.

OMG, I’ve just heard on the Sky F1 podcast Beverley Allen, CHs former partner and mother of his daughter, died 10 days ago.

That makes everything that has happened today really shit timing.

I’ve seen a post on X suggesting the source is not one you would expect.

I have also seen suggestions that Max and Toto’s yachts were both in Corsica at the same time.

It’s interesting as a lot of F1 pundits think CH being sacked was so RB kept Max. Others think CH was sacked because Max is leaving RB.

I think they will all keep us guessing for the summer.

My son showed me a fake f1 looking post with Max in Mercedes colours. It did look very realistic.

The trouble these days is there is so much fake news and some is done very well so it’s hard to say what’s true and what’s made up.
