Happy New Year.

We start with the first all teams season launch on 18 February. Ferrari reveal their 2025 car the day after.

Pre season testing will take place on 26 to 28 February in Bahrain. Australia will host the opening race on Sunday March 16th.

@JamesWebbSpaceTelescopeI could be wrong, but I think that it was £20million.

MercedesLeftWheelNut · 03/04/2025 16:08

"Christian Horner says a big factor in the decision to move Liam Lawson to Racing Bulls after just two races was because his engineers had become “concerned” by his mental state"

Just when I think Horner can't possibly do anything more to make him seem like an even bigger twat, there he goes, proving me wrong.

Wakemeuuuup · 03/04/2025 16:10

Horner is full of shit

So 32 million just filtered away in less than 6 months - I know sports use Monopoly money but some questions must be asked about that!

purplespink · 05/04/2025 07:23

Anyone else watching?☺️

witte · 05/04/2025 08:22

I watched! Max is a great driver to be fair to him

purplespink · 05/04/2025 08:33

He is @witte, I totally expected a McLaren 1-2. Disappointed that Lewis messed up his lap!

Rowgtfc72 · 05/04/2025 09:28

I don't think the commentators even mentioned Max till that lap.
Good on Lawson. Nice to see he's hanging in there.
Talking of hanging, poor Isack.

Looking good for a decent competitive race tomorrow.

Brazilianadventure · 05/04/2025 10:38

Managed to fall asleep but caught Max putting in a stellar lap. He is an exceptional driver I just wish he didn’t push over the limit - he is good enough to win without needing to do that. I’m just catching up with DTS and how he reacted to Lando’s challenge on track.

So pleased for Ollie Bearman, he is doing well. I feel for both Liam and Yuki so glad neither of them is last.

Lewis may be several places behind Charles but in lap time they are close which is good for Ferrari.

I hope Oscar can jump Max at the start - I always feel he is able to do this more easily than Lando.

Just caught up. Well that was dull 😑
McLaren definitely should have been done for an unsafe release

billysboy · 06/04/2025 15:04

Not the most exciting race and McLaren look like they should have allowed drivers to change positions
Lou Lou lap times looked ok

Brazilianadventure · 11/04/2025 18:48

I have to say George in the Merc is doing well but keeping under the radar. FP 1 had a few test drivers so mixed up the order. Lando fastest in both sessions.

I can’t believe they fined Carlos for having stomach problems and being 5 seconds late. Its ridiculous.

WRT the FIA, Robert Reid resigned earlier this week. That is another high profile FIA person leaving. The former CEO has also made a statement. MBS is definitely not a good president. I only hope they find a good candidate to run against him.

Oscar was quickest in FP2, Lando FP1, Isack quicker than Max! if he keeps that up he might end up in the cursed second RB next year.

Sorry misread which McLaren was first.

Please don’t give Isack ideas, 😀 I thought Pierre Gasley was badly treated but Liam was brutal.

midlandsmummy123 · 11/04/2025 21:17

Daniel leaving his last race by himself having stayed late at the track with no send off was also brutal. Unfortunately whilst Helmut the harsh and Horner are in charge I don't see any driver who isn't Max getting treated well.

Brazilianadventure · 11/04/2025 21:27

Daniel seems to be doing OK, from his instagram there is a lot of American Football and he braved the cold to watch Scotty James win gold.

OP posts:
midlandsmummy123 · 11/04/2025 23:10

The sky team suggested to Isack earlier that he was next in line for the RB seat and I'm sure he had a look of panic before politely saying he would never refuse a call but he's very happy where he is.

Brazilianadventure · 12/04/2025 18:14

Well done Oscar, a good top 3 to mix up the teams and for the race. Kimi did well to get 4th and Sainz is getting to grips with the Williams.

Not good if the belated deleted laps meant some drivers missed out on a higher position.

I feel for Lando, he really can’t hide his emotions after a bad drive. Tomorrow looks a bit more interesting and the track had overtaking possibilities.

midlandsmummy123 · 12/04/2025 19:16

Did anyone read Landos recent Guardian interview - 'What people want you to believe is you have to think you’re the best in the world, you have to think you can beat everyone,” he says. “That is a great attitude to have but I don’t think it’s the only attitude you have to have if you want to be a champion.'

It strikes me that his view is probably at odds with a lot if not all the other drivers and former world champions and probably a lot of top athletes, I hope he's correct and he does go onto win DC.

Brazilianadventure · 13/04/2025 13:26

Just read the Guardian article on Lando, he is his own man and not afraid to take a different approach. I respect that.

It is interesting that Nico got in touch, as we know 2016 took every bit of his mental energy to beat Lewis. There is no reason Lando can’t do the same.

OP posts:
midlandsmummy123 · 13/04/2025 14:27

Nico took quite drastic action to beat Lewis, he absolutely believed he could and worked his backside off, sacrificing time with his family and even spending an hour a day with a sports psychologist, does Lando have that determination - maybe. Just watched Lewis being interviewed on the drivers parade, doesn't seem happy - I wonder if he can fix his quali issues or if his reflexes are slowing due to age.

Brazilianadventure · 13/04/2025 16:39

@midlandsmummy123 Lewis got pole in the China Sprint. His age will play a factor but, funnily enough, I think it may be he is trying too hard.

Time will tell with Lando, but I think Nico’s advice might help.
