We are thinking of getting a rescue cat as virtual novice pet owners. Do you have to pay an excess every time you claim on pet insurance?

Hi @Rae1000 I am very pleased to hear that you are thinking about rescuing a cat - both my cats are rescued! The excess will need to be paid for each new condition and usually for the first claim each year for an ongoing condition. The excess is likely to increase when your pet gets to a certain age- usually at eight years old for a cat.
