Come and play with Kodak's new printers!

Hello! We've been asked by Kodak to find 10 to 15 Mumsnetters who'd like to go along to review Kodak printers. Basically, they'd like to show off their new printer range to you and let you have a play with them.

The review event is taking place on Wednesday 22nd April at 10.30am in Folgate Street London, E1 (5 mins walk from Liverpool Street Station; exact location and directions will be emailed to those taking part). You are welcome to bring babies/ toddlers with you, if you need to.

Food and drink will be provided and you'd need to be able to stay for up to 2 hours.

Travel expenses would be paid (up to £30) and everyone who is selected and attends will receive a Kodak gift album or frame worth £30-40.

Kodak would like a broad range of parents to come but would particularly like to encourage anyone who works from home (paid or unpaid, full-time or part-time), or someone who tends to print quite a bit or would like to print more (photos, insurance documents, warranties, directions, favourite recipes etc).

You would need to bring some photos on memory sticks/cards for test printing.

After the event, Kodak would like you to post your thoughts on the printers and on printing photos in general - a link to the thread would be emailed to all participants.

To be considered for this, please complete the questions here and we'll notify those selected by 15th April by email.

Thank you!

Dwaynedibbly, sorry this one is in London - it's quite accessable from North of London/Essex etc as well but I take your point. We're hoping to have some events outside of London soon - watch this space!

FiveGoMadInDorset · 08/04/2009 19:15

Oh I can take a train, 2 hours and 20 minutes of pure childfree bliss and reading time.

MamaG · 08/04/2009 19:45

Fucking London

SadieSunshine · 08/04/2009 21:27

Am I allowed to print off my whole memory card?

MumOeufMonsters · 08/04/2009 21:40

i need a new printer (also photographer) but it would cost a lot more than £30 to get to London

Dozymare · 08/04/2009 22:20

I am definitely up for this! However, everything is stored on photobox or on my laptop so would I have to bring that with me?

(as well as 5 month old baby girl!)

I work from home, but currently on mat leave so fit the brief booootifully!

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/04/2009 08:36

Not the best plan to organise this for during the school holidays if they want parents to take part.

BexieID · 09/04/2009 09:11

Grr, why can't it be the week after on the 29th? I'm travelling down from Scotland to see my family near London the week after! [Me is not a happy ]

AnnMumsnet · 09/04/2009 09:15

Can'tsleep - I believe most schools are back that week - I'm in Herts and we are back 21st April. Sorry if is still school hols for you.

AnnMumsnet · 09/04/2009 09:17

Dozymare - is bringing your laptop a possibility? I'll ask about accessing photobox!

CantSleepWontSleep · 09/04/2009 09:23

I'm in Herts too, but dd (nursery school) doesn't go back til 27th. Ah well.

AnnMumsnet · 09/04/2009 09:38

Dozymare-there's wireless internet access in the event room + PCs there were photobox can be accessed! Hope you can make it.

Can'tsleep -what a shame! kodak have said you can bring children though and they'll help entertain them...so if you are feeling strong....?

AnnMumsnet · 09/04/2009 09:39

where doh

MmeLindt · 09/04/2009 10:59

I wonder if I can get an Easyjet flight for £30

If you are thinking about doing events like this outside of the capital, how about going the whole hog and doing something for your overseas MNetters?

Geneva is lovely at this time of year. I will even bake you some scones.

LilRedWG · 09/04/2009 11:36

Would I be able to bring DD along or will they pay nursery fees?

LilRedWG · 09/04/2009 11:40

Just seen that children can come. I've completed the questionnaire. Could use a day in London.

LilRedWG · 09/04/2009 12:09

Scrap that - train fares involved are too high from local station (£150) and it would take three hours as I'd have to go north to come south.

Pants.

singalongamumum · 09/04/2009 12:14

I don't need to go- I have a Kodak printer and IT'S RUBBISH. Do I get a token for that review?
