Come and play with Kodak's new printers!

Hello! We've been asked by Kodak to find 10 to 15 Mumsnetters who'd like to go along to review Kodak printers. Basically, they'd like to show off their new printer range to you and let you have a play with them.

The review event is taking place on Wednesday 22nd April at 10.30am in Folgate Street London, E1 (5 mins walk from Liverpool Street Station; exact location and directions will be emailed to those taking part). You are welcome to bring babies/ toddlers with you, if you need to.

Food and drink will be provided and you'd need to be able to stay for up to 2 hours.

Travel expenses would be paid (up to £30) and everyone who is selected and attends will receive a Kodak gift album or frame worth £30-40.

Kodak would like a broad range of parents to come but would particularly like to encourage anyone who works from home (paid or unpaid, full-time or part-time), or someone who tends to print quite a bit or would like to print more (photos, insurance documents, warranties, directions, favourite recipes etc).

You would need to bring some photos on memory sticks/cards for test printing.

After the event, Kodak would like you to post your thoughts on the printers and on printing photos in general - a link to the thread would be emailed to all participants.

To be considered for this, please complete the questions here and we'll notify those selected by 15th April by email.

Thank you!

Are we being asked for our thoughts anywhere yet?

Am going to put something here anyway...

Firstly, if Kodak are going invite 10-15 people to try out their printers, they need to provide 10-15 printers, in order to not have a few bored/cross looking people waiting for the others.

Secondly, there's no doubt that the print quality of the pictures we printed was excellent. However, the 'seling point' they were making yesterday was about cartridge price, and I'm not sure that the price of the cartridges puts me off buying a printer anyway. The reason I wouldn't print a lot of photos at home is the cost of the expensive high quality photo paper.

Thanks for the responses so far.

I believe the event is only for MNers so no fruit shoots will be needed (can't guarantee they won't be served though!)

Also not sure how many pictures you'll be able to print out, but do bring your memory sticks and see how you get on

I don't think it will just be us, but maybe I am wrong. I got the impression we will be able to print a lot of pictures and certainly get to keep them.

See you there! I am a bit scared excited to meet other Mumsnetters. Do you think it will just be us lot in a room? Do we get to print out as many pics as we like and keep them?

Can you be sure and ask how much the printer cartridges will cost - I have a Kodak photo printer and it is extortionate, the actual printer is cheap but then you are stung for consumables

I don't need to go- I have a Kodak printer and IT'S RUBBISH. Do I get a token for that review?

LilRedWG · 09/04/2009 12:09

Scrap that - train fares involved are too high from local station (£150) and it would take three hours as I'd have to go north to come south.

Pants.

Just seen that children can come. I've completed the questionnaire. Could use a day in London.
