Hello. A while ago, all you lovely Mumsnetters gave us some brilliant tips for surviving winter colds and sniffles. Well, now we want to know which of those tips you think is the very best of all.

And, thanks to the very nice folk at Kleenex Anti-Viral Tissues, everyone who votes for their top tip will be in with the chance to win £500 of Center Parcs vouchers.

All you need to do is check out the tips and then click on the link at the bottom to come back to this thread and post the name of the Mumsnetter whose tip you liked best. (Some Mumsnetters have got more than one tip on the list, so if you're voting for one of them, please specify tip 1 or tip 2).

All votes must be posted on this thread by the closing date: midnight on Tuesday 24th February. Good luck!

I'm voting for myself and advocating not licking toddlers (as a general rule as well as when they have colds!)

I learned early on blow the sore bits away rather than kiss it better.

Plantsitter because it made me laugh - it's a great tip and laughing is good for the immune system.

Starlightmackenzie's toast tip - I am now a much happier camper as a result of some slowly eaten dry toast...

If you've got gunk at the back of your throat that's preventing you sleeping, nibble at dry toast without chewing it much. It kinda 'scrapes' the gunk down with it and gives your throat a nice gentle scratch at the same time. StarlightMcKenzie

slur's garlic, lemon and honey tip is my favourite. I like that it doesn't involve going out to find special ingredients .

SmallShips · 04/02/2009 20:42

Maybe 2 1/2 days but still not enough for my liking

lyra41 · 04/02/2009 21:21

hope I win, I always wondered what centreparcs was like, but felt it was too expensive to try.
