Corduroy is such a nice fabric for this time of year. Could I wear it with a cardigan/jumper to keep warm or would that spoil the look and I'd need to put layers underneath?

I get really cold at Christmas events so I'd be interested in finding a warm cardigan/jacket bolero to pair with this

I had a round necked sparkly cardigan for party events but it just looked rubbish and I never wore it again.
