Everyone’s weight loss journey is different, and with so much noise out there about weight loss treatments, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, confused or even a bit misinformed. That’s why we’re looking for honest, real-life experiences from those of you using MedExpress who can help the rest of the community who are considering it or help those struggling to hit their own weight loss milestones.

We want to hear what has made a difference for you, and what advice you would give to those considering a medicated weight loss journey? Maybe it was figuring out the right time of day to take your medication, discovering a food routine that helped curb cravings, or finding motivation in your weekly progress. Maybe it was the community support from other Mumsnetters experiencing a similar weight loss journey? And if you're new to medicated weight loss or considering it, what would you most like to know?

Everyone who shares their experience on this thread by 17 July will be entered into a prize draw to win a £200 voucher (T&Cs apply).

Concentrating on protein and learning how valuable that is for my diet, and how I can do so many things with a chicken breast and thighs with the help of a good (pinch of nom) cook book and herbs and spices.

I’ve been a Med Express customer since January and can recommend that they’ve delivered everything quickly and discreetly.

Ive tried to stay on the low doses so haven’t gone above 5mg and am currently at a loss of 2 stone and 10lbs. I’m nearly finished my journey and have found it to be a great way to eliminate thinking about my food. I’ve stuck to three meals, weigh my breakfast and keep a low cal (under 300kcal) lunch, then I don’t calorie count dinner really, because I’m not great with that. Side effects have been minimal for me, but I am finding a bit of dizziness now sometimes, which has contributed to my decision to stop after this pen. I also want to ramp up my training for an event so I’d like to see what I can now do on my own.

I’m very grateful I’ve been able to use Mounjaro. I’m finally back to pre baby weight and although things have changed about my body I just feel so much better in myself.

I have been overweight most of my life( I'm nearly70) as I'm an emotional binge eater have tried most of the diets out there from the extreme VCLD to calorie counting even a gastric balloon, none of them worked because they never stopped the cravings and the food noise, mounjaro has done that for me and has changed my life so that i can now live a normal life, eat normally to satiety and feel satsfied with no cravings on smaller amounts
I am losing weight steadily and for the first time ever feel in control of my eating, That is massive for me as I was on a vicious cycle of diet fall off the diet then, binge, this lead to enormous guilt at failing again and the cycle started again.
Now I eat well hydrate well (don't do a huge amount of exercise) and follow the guidance and find that I'm rethinking and changing my outlook on food
BTW I have stayed on 3.75mg for 5 months (58lbs lost) as that is more than enough to maintain suppression and reduce food noise with no side effects and that's my aim till I teach target when I hopefully will have learnt enough to maintain off MJ , but if not I will stay on it on a low dose maintenance

Injecting at night for your first dose, and any potential side effects are minimalist.

I started with MedExpress at the end of last August and lost nearly 5 some in weight with Mounjaro jabs. I’d given up hope on losing it any way other than bariatric surgery or even liposuction and had it really expect the jabs to help much. But they really did!

I’d recommend eating as much protein as poss As it helps fill you up and also reduces the risk of severe hair loss and losing muscle mass that can happen when losing weight quickly.

I’d recommend the jabs to anyone needing to lose a serious amount of weight eg BMI of 30+ as per the regulations.

It just makes everything possible for actual, sustainable weightloss when for decades it has felt superhuman efforts only work for a couple of months and everything else is impossible.

I have lost 3st 10lb in 5 months. I have times when it is a big loss, times with a steady loss and times with some ups and downs and staying still. But its the mental clarity that has made the difference. I can use MyFitness pal to log my food and get my protein in and track my calories but it is a fun thing to do rather than a weapon to beat myself with. I can have one or two glasses of alchol without craving the rest of the bottle. I can say no to the chocolate aisle without feeling like I am missing out.

The one thing for me is the relief that change is possible and it happens when you adapt your diet and exercise plan to something responsible but realistic. I just need this weekly jab to be able to do it. I wasn't lazy, I wasn't undisciplined, I wasn't greedy. I just missed something chemically that meant I couldn't do exactly as I am doing now and successfully stick to it before. Now I can. That relief is impossible to describe.

I am on week three of Mounjaro and I already feel much more positive about my ability to lose weight. I have been on every diet, most successful but always put weight back on. I got mine from Med express and the support has been great. Customer care answered a question clearly and it felt that my personal concern was addressed, and i was not just given a stock answer.
I would encourage anyone to try it and I hope that it is made available on the NHS soon as there are many people who wuld benefit from this and cannot afford it.
