This thread is now closed.

We all know the feeling of staring endlessly into our wardrobes and feeling as though we have nothing to wear. Because of this, Joanie Clothing want to give three Mumsnetters the chance to win their perfect outfit from Joanie’s collection - Whether it’s a chic wrap dress for an evening out with friends, a cosy knit for a leisurely weekend brunch, or a stylish blouse paired with leather Mary Janes for a day at the office, we can't wait to hear your picks!

  • Post your items/picks from Joanie in the thread below to be entered into the prize draw
  • Three lucky MNers will win their chosen outfits.

Here’s what Joanie has to say:

Falling in love with one of our styles is discovering a real gem that fits you perfectly, is sustainably made, easy to care for and will be treasured for years to come. We may look to the past for inspiration, but creating future vintage is our aim. We want to ensure our customers feel fabulous and make everyday dressing a little more fun!

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

Well, that worked - I bought a dress!

I own very few loud prints and hardly any green, so I went maximal.

Oops, forgot the occasion. Both my new dress and my selected EXTREMELY GREEN outfit would be for daily wear, and are suitable for things like a lunch out or a fairly smart dinner. I'd swap the loud green shirt for white at dinner, and use a grown-up handbag. (Oh, an excuse to buy a green leather bag!)

The Lafayette trouser co-ord could go to a meeting, perhaps with a plainer shirt and a jacket. I don't often go to meetings these days, though. If it was a meeting about local ecology projects, I'd obviously wear ALL THE GREEN 🌿

For me, it would have to be a dress and cardie from their Natural History range! I love those prints!

Firstly, this meteorite dress: https://joanieclothing.com/natural-history-museum-x-joanie-savannah-meteorite-print-wrap-dress.html

Secondly, this insect print cardigan: https://joanieclothing.com/natural-history-museum-x-joanie-dalton-insect-print-oversized-cardigan.html

Thirdly, I'd somehow make it match with this Dawn O'Porter bag! https://joanieclothing.com/dawn-o-porter-x-joanie-collins-vintage-tile-print-quilted-cloth-bag.html

I'd definitely go for

joanieclothing.com/olga-navy-floral-print-jersey-tea-dress.html

joanieclothing.com/rouen-patent-leather-mary-jane-shoes-burgundy.html
And

joanieclothing.com/lille-suede-t-bar-dolly-shoes-black.html.
I love Mary Jane type shoes, and the only heel I can walk in is a block heel so would love to win these 😊

Ooh, so many shirtdresses - my favorite! Would definitely have to be an Andi dress - either the whale one (great colour!)
https://joanieclothing.com/natural-history-museum-x-joanie-andi-whale-print-shirt-dress.html

or the plant bookshelf one

https://joanieclothing.com/andi-plant-print-dress.html

definitely with brogues

https://joanieclothing.com/grenoble-leather-t-bar-brogues-black.html

I would wear this pretty much anywhere, as it's exactly what I wear normally (had a Joanie dress on yesterday, although off EBay! would love to have more...) This kind of thing is perfect for work, but would also wear if out on the weekend. I love the vaguely '50s vibe.

If I could win anything, though, I'd pick the shoes for sure - find those more difficult this time of year and they have a great "dark academia" vibe.

(Runner up dress is the sundress - love gingham. https://joanieclothing.com/maggie-square-neck-gingham-print-denim-sundress.html#product-info-garmentinfo)

(Trying again, as I messed up and withdrew my first post!)

I love a bit of Joanie: the fit is always flattering, the quality good and I love the funky prints!
My favourite piece of clothing EVER is an Imala floral jumpsuit I bought for my birthday last year. I’ve never had so many compliments on an article of clothing in my life! From complete strangers! So I’d like another one, this time in the “deckchair” colourway:

https://joanieclothing.com/imala-floral-deckchair-print-short-sleeve-boilersuit.html

I’d pair it with these lovely contrasting green shoes (and other green accessories to tie it all together)

https://joanieclothing.com/rouen-patent-leather-mary-jane-shoes-green.html

I’ll be having a long weekend in London with my two adult daughters in summer, so I’d wear this outfit then while out visiting the art galleries. And I reckon I’d be looking pretty swanky in it.

Our favourite lightweight jumpsuit is back with a brand-new print just in time for spring-summer dressing! The Imala Boilersuit is crafted from a comfy and cool organic cotton blend barkcloth with a hint of added stretch for comfort in an all-over ‘70s...

I love Joanie and have a few items already but I would really love this dress https://joanieclothing.com/gaia-gold-lurex-v-neck-midaxi-dress.html#reviews for a formal night I have coming up. Would love to match with these shoes https://joanieclothing.com/rouen-patent-leather-mary-jane-shoes-burgundy.html and maybe this bag https://joanieclothing.com/filey-black-velvet-pouch-bag.html

I've just spotted you've got a bag to match the button print dress I have, damn you, that's another purchase Grin

Lovelydovey · 10/03/2024 15:18

I have a couple of NHM dresses that I adore. But realistically as I get older I'm less into the bold prints. So these were my picks, I struggled to pick between the shoes though!

I fell in love with Joanie when I saw it mirrored the way I loved to dress when I was young. Bold prints and chunky knits. Signals fun and affordable glamour for me.

I always get asked where my clothes are from :) and sometimes tell people!

I absolutely love Joanie and have several items already! Particularly the Dawn O’Porter range - I have the Sangria Poppy dress, Sazerac Vintage Floral dress, Sunrise psychedelic print dress, pinacolada floral print dress and a fabulous banana print dress they no longer do. I find their clothes an excellent fit, comfortable and absolutely love the colours and patterns

to add to my collection, I love

Lafayette cords
Pippa trousers
If I could wear heels the Dolly shoes and loafers (do some flats please Joanie!)

To be honest, most of their clothes are my style!
