With Halloween just round the corner, we’d love you to share your favourite ways to celebrate as a family. Whether it’s spooky snacks and games ideas, a simple but effective costume, or you prefer heading to an event like LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham’s Brick or Treat Monster Party, share your Halloween plans and ideas in the thread below.

  • Post your Halloween ideas in the thread below to be entered into a prize draw
  • One lucky MNer will win a £200 voucher for a store of their choice (from a list).

Here’s what LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham has to say:
"With spooky season just around the corner, it’s time to start planning those spooktacular Halloween ideas. Join us at LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Birmingham for our awesome Brick or Treat: Monster Party event which runs from 30th September to 5th November. There are so many fang-tastic activities to sink your teeth into as well as two awesome rides, lots of LEGO build & play zones and a 4D cinema experience at the ultimate indoor LEGO® playground!"

Thanks and good luck with the prize draw!

I'm getting annoyed with DH. He keeps turning the hall light on, I keep turning it off.

DD (21) has been badgered by the foster child and relented. She has never been trick or treating herself. At least she facilitated an original costume, rather than a supermarket job.

We just made several pumpkin lanterns and as they seemed fresh inside we tried to make pumpkin soup and bread for the spooky night.

Apple bobbing, fancy dress and pumpkin carving, and watching corpse bride on the TV

nice to see some others on here that don't celebrate Halloween either. My kids have never enjoyed it and so we don't celebrate halloween. Instead it is a gorgeous time of year for nature walks and nature activities so we choose to do those instead. Autumn-themed crafts, apple picking and cookery with seasonal ingredients etc. My kids just enjoy doing those sorts of things more.

Discovered light up balloons to go inside carved pumpkins, so much easier than a candle and lots of colours available.

It's great fun to make chocolate cornflake buns, rice krispie buns and add after eights for bat wings, and matchsticks for spider legs

So, who is the £200 prize winner?
