Great family films are often passed down through generations and not only do the films themselves bring great memories but also the memorable characters. Coming together to watch a film as a family can be a great way to spend time with your loved ones. Prime Video would love to know what your family films are and why?

Here’s what Prime Video have to say: “The smash hit family film Paddington 2 has just been added to Prime Video, joining thousands of great movies and TV shows the whole family can enjoy. Paddington 2 sees the loveable bear settled into life with the Brown Family and starting to do some odd jobs so he can buy Aunt Lucie a birthday present. Before he can get it, the gift is stolen by a master thief and Paddington is the suspect.”

“To celebrate, we want to hear what classics you watch with your kids. Prime Video has many to enjoy including Yogi Bear, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alvin and the Chipmunks, The Gruffalo, Casper, The Wizard of Oz, Nanny McPhee, E.T, Beethoven, Tom and Jerry, Pingu, Thomas and Friends, Scooby-Doo, Kung-Fu Panda and Shaun The Sheep.”

What do you enjoy watching with your whole family? Do you go for the classic such as ET and The Wizard of Oz or do you prefer the new films such as Kung Fu Panda? Or maybe your family has a staple film that you all watch on special occasions?

Whatever your favourite films are to watch as a family, share them on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw to win 1 of 3 Amazon Fire Kids Edition Tablets, made just for kids.

Thanks and good luck

As much as we try to get our 3 boys to watch original films and films that we loves as kids, they are very much Disney Pixar kids so they love Cars, Ice Age etc which we enjoy together. They also like Lego films and Scooby Doo, anything that makes them giggle really.

lozaa · 26/07/2018 15:16

We love to watch any films containing minions or Disney Princess films as a family

misskatamari · 26/07/2018 15:43

My kids are still little so favourites are currently Toy Story, Inside Out and Trolls. Can't wait until there bigger and we can enjoy films like Jurassic Park and Harry Potter together, and trilogies like Indiana Jones that I loved when I was a kid

foxitude · 26/07/2018 15:57

If you're wanting films we can all watch then it has to be something that isn't too annoying for me...BlushI find many kids films, especially ones from the last 10 or so years too awful to even sit through. All together we like Mary poppins some Disney ones and the lovely totoro and ponyo. Looking forward to when mine are a little older and we can watch back to the future and the goonies!

AmazonianMummy · 26/07/2018 16:28

My daughter loves some of the movies I loved as a child like jumanji (robin Williams version) we love the Paddington movies aswell - but the ones she's most obsessed with and yes we have had to watch them today (the hottest day of the year so far) is nativity 1,2 and 3. Trying not to melt while listening to 'sparkle and shine' is an experience to say the least 😉😂

helly27 · 26/07/2018 18:00

The Despicable me ones

NerrSnerr · 26/07/2018 18:01

Our three favourite are
Beauty and the beast- my daughter calls it the Lion King as she thinks he looks like a lion king!
Finding Nemo- this was the first film my daughter watched and it's a firm favourite
Gnomeo and Juliet- she loves this and we think it's funny with all the Elton John songs.

Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs or The Simpsons Movie are our current go-to films.

gesu · 27/07/2018 07:26

We love watching Home Alone, Cars and they just can't seem to get enough of Moana too!

Ikea1234 · 27/07/2018 07:33

Ours are 'Fun With Dick & Jane' (which sounds like a rather un-family film if you get my drift, but it's the best Jim Carey movie IMO) and Robin Williams 'RV' - complete laugh out loud silliness. These always raise a laugh in our house on a rainy day (which means we've not watched them for a while given the current climate!)
