A big part of being a parent is being flexible and spinning several plates at the same time... there just aren’t enough hours in the day to do every task individually! Have you always been someone who can juggle multiple things at once or has parenting taught you the art of being flexible, Intel® would love to hear your best multi-tasking moments, as well as any tips and tricks for managing modern family life.

Here’s what Intel® have to say: “A thin and light Modern PC with an Intel® processor has great features that make it more flexible to use, so you can be more creative, productive and entertained. Cortana lets you use your voice instead of the keyboard and Windows Hello* lets you log in with your face not a password – perfect for when you already have your hands full with the children.”

Did you manage to book a holiday while you fed and bathed your children? Perhaps you helped one child with homework while breastfeeding your baby, being on Skype to your mum and eating your dinner all at the same time?

Whatever your tips or your best multi-tasking moment, share it on the thread below to be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher from Argos.

Thanks and good luck!

My trying to plan out and organise as much of the week on a Sunday.

cathryn1 · 19/06/2018 07:12

I am always busy doing more than one thing at once, sometimes my hubby thinks I have baby brain as my mind is often somewhere else. I doing the shopping list in my head whilst getting the lunches packed and think about holidays how much we can afford and when we can go whilst cleaning the bathroom

whitbyranger · 19/06/2018 07:23

Online shopping is a boon. I used to shop recreationally, but I just haven't got the time now. Also, I get up really early in order to get things done. It leaves me tired in the evening, so early nights are a necessity, too.

Hi,
I use the internet to shop online. I also use it to reserved things online in shops, so when i go in i can pick up what i need quickly with a tantrum prone toddler in tow! I use it to keep in touch with family members who no longer live local, and to plan our budget for the month.

Planning meals ahead, online food shopping and batch cooking.

caygijan · 19/06/2018 08:25

I find the more I have to do the more I get done, putting a load of washing in while cooking and making a cup of tea at the same time. Reading the paper stood next to the cooker while waiting for things to boil. Watching TV on my laptop while stood at the cooker the list is endless! xx

Online food shopping is very helpful & I think I save some money without browsing the aisles

katkatgu · 19/06/2018 10:09

Plenty of planning and meal prepping in advance!

The only way I can stay on top of life is by using reminders and family calendar events on my phone and lists -be it on paper or phone notes. Every moment has to be planned and allocated in my head

altergeist · 19/06/2018 11:48

How do I juggle modern family life?

Badly! haha

Bambinoxx · 19/06/2018 12:16

Everything I do I do it with my little lady - I find a way of making it fun for her. For example, when I clean, she gets her cleaning kit out too. If I vac she gets Hetty out, mowing the lawn...her lawn moor comes out too! Online grocery shop gets done on my phone when she is in the bath.

Twiglet1983 · 19/06/2018 12:46

Online food shop while breastfeeding my son when he was younger & eating lunch at the same time. Multitasking at its finest. Now my idea of multitasking is trying to cook dinner with a toddler hanging off my leg.

With practice

AutumnElla · 19/06/2018 13:04

While the kiddies are in the bath give the bathroom a clean. Work on different areas at a time.

Jade5093 · 19/06/2018 13:27

Getting bags ready the day before. Meal planning. Making sure kids food is ready when for them to eat at baby's bottle time.
Just planning ahead
For everything

I think that when you become a parent you suddenly become an incredible multi-tasker.....im sure more than most of us have balanced a babies bottle with our chin to reach out for the muslin cloth, or have picked up a stray sock with our toes while we carry the washing downstairs.

tishist · 19/06/2018 14:19

I'm awful at time management but I try to write everyting down so I know what to prioritise. Also asking for help helps!

Blondie1982 · 19/06/2018 19:15

A good diary / calendar to help keep check on important dates and tasks etc

bex552 · 19/06/2018 19:36

Lots of lists and planning! I do weekly food and activity planers on a Sunday so everyone knows what they're doing and when! Works for us!

YayImALlamaAgain · 19/06/2018 20:29

I do all online admin whilst DS is feeding. Saves me lots of time.

GeorgeW78 · 19/06/2018 20:44

Making dinner and doing the online grocery shop. Making lunch or more than one dinner at the same time! Going through emails when stuck in a queue or paying bills while watching TV (if that counts)!

shuggas · 19/06/2018 21:20

Note pads! Shift work, to do lists. Absolutely essential, oh and a shared mobile calendar on iPhone with reminders for events and things we need to do!

Smellophant87 · 19/06/2018 21:46

I do everything from my smartphone! I deliberately picked a smaller one (iPhone SE) so I could use it with one hand while I feed the baby, and rock him to sleep. I also have various activities in a box for my older child which he can do by himself, or I only need to assist minimally, so he is entertained while I am busy with baby stuff.
