There is often a lot of talk about being a ‘good parent’ and with that comes a fair amount of expectations of what a ‘good parent’ should: look like, act like and even sound like. However, these (often unrealistic) projections put a lot of pressure on parents, but parenting is not a competition; most of the time you have to trust yourself and worry about it later!

Here’s what BabyBjörn have to say: “We want to put things into perspective by empowering new mums to have faith in their own instincts, set their own standards and develop their own unique parenting style. The one thing that all parents have in common is the love they have for their children. This means so much more than different opinions about giving birth, breastfeeding v. bottle feeding, soothers v. no soothers, cloth nappies v. disposable nappies, full-time work v. part-time work, or babywearing.”

BabyBjörn would love you to share the parenting moment you are most proud of.

Perhaps you created your own parenting rule that worked a treat and now you feel like you could write your very own parenting book? Was there a time when you you felt like ripping your hair out trying to get your DC potty trained but you persevered and finally they did it with no drama! Or maybe you’re multitasking was seriously put to the test and you came out the other side feeling like Super Parent?

Whatever parenting moment you are most proud of share it on the thread below and you’ll be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Love2Shop voucher and a brand new BabyBjörn Baby Carrier One for themselves and one for a friend/parent they want to celebrate.

Thanks and good luck!

When she stood up to an older boy for picking on an older child. Even at 5 she wasn't standing for it!

Definitely watching my girls grow up into kind and caring little ladies. But a personal triumph was giving birth to my youngest, i was terrified all pregnancy that I wouldnt have time for an epidural, no idea why, but it terrified me for the whole 9 months. On D day my labour was so quick, too quick, and i ended up giving birth without any pain relief at all, went from 0cm-10cm within 45 mins and gave birth to an 11lb 8oz baby!!! Felt quite proud of myself that day!

Anyone know when we will find out the winner? I can't see a closing date blind as a bat

My proudest parenting moments are when my DD uses her manners without being prompted. Even more so when grown-ups acknowledge how polite she is

Never been prouder than the first time I held both of mine in my arms - such a pure moment - it never gets more perfect than that!

They do things every day that make me proud. I don't get everything right - they don't get everything right - but somehow, we're getting through this and doing okay.

When after 6 weeks of hell with PND and adjusting to life as a new Mum, she smiled at me. I had convinced myself she didn't have a bond with me and it meant the World. It still does every time she gives us a cheeky grin.

My most proudest moment was watching my little boy go from being very upset about going to Nursery to now running into reception with his friends laughing , not even having time to kiss mummy . To watch my child grow in confidence fills me with pride and happiness

As my little girl nearly 18 months and our first everything she does makes my heart swell and beam with pride, her first smile, laugh, step, when she said my name, when she dances to music videos, there's a long list as she makes me proud everyday
