Christmas can be a time to be with family, indulge in all your favourite foods, share gifts and have some well needed relaxation. However it can also be quite hectic, particularly within the kitchen all that food has to be stored and cooked somewhere! With that being said, AO want you to share how you get your kitchen ready for the Christmas period.

Here’s what AO have to say: “At AO we’ve got Christmas wrapped up, helping take the stress out of the festive season. We know that Christmas is more than the decorations and the presents, your home has to be ready too. Don’t risk a kitchen disaster when you're elbow deep in sprouts and cranberry sauce!

So deck your kitchen out with our fantastic deals. Think large capacity ovens and cookers for the BIGGEST turkey and all the trimmings, fridge freezers for stocking up on all those snacks and drinks and dishwashers to make that post-Christmas clean up a dream. You can even buy now and pay nothing for 12 months on selected appliances, so you can cook, toast and feast to your heart’s content.

When you shop with AO, you can rest assured we'll make it easy for you, with 1000s of appliances to choose from, delivered and installed in time for the big day. So you can concentrate on planning the best Christmas, ever!”

Do you decorate your kitchen to give it a Christmassy feel? Perhaps you have an ‘eat up everything in the fridge’ dinner to clear some space for the Christmas food? Maybe you buy extra kitchen utensils to ensure you’re not short of anything on the big day?

Whatever you do to get your kitchen prepared for Christmas, post it on the thread below and every MNer who posts will be entered into a prize draw, where one lucky winner will randomly selected to receive a £300 voucher of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

No kitchen decorations, we do have a Christmas themed oven glove that comes out of the drawer Blush. I'm also guilty of the 'no more shopping, get what's left in the freezer ate before the Christmas food shop'!

We have a freezer in the garage that is usually not used. This is filled with Christmas food. We do not decorate the kitchen but each year have different table decorations.

We start to make room in the fridge/freezer and cupboards a few weeks before.....and I go all out with the decor! An extra tree decorated for the kitchen, fancy cutlery, crockery, full table decor! The lot! xo

we have bar stools and a breakfast table in the kitchen, we site a mini christmas tree on it to get some christmassy feel, we also change out some of the led lights for coloured ones.

As for food, there's no space clearing plan it's just buy what we need and squeeze it in somewhere, somehow.

I clean, tidy and try and find all the matching cutlery that the fairies (it's not the children) have hidden so our guests have a matching set.

My mum does all the Christmas cooking so I might put the dishwasher on then trundle back home for a good feed.

The most important thing for us is making sure the fridge is fully stocked with alochol to keep us going during the Christmas/New Year period.

Most decorations go up in the living room but we do put some in the kitchen. We try and eat down what is in the fridge before doing a big shop for Xmas.

Really tight for space, so from November we will be using up food in the freezer to make space. I have a few kitchen Christmas decorations on the window sill with tealights.

I will clear out the cupboards and free up space in the freezer by using up food or throwing out what has been lurking there for too long! No decorations in kitchen though.

We have a massive clean before getting ready for Christmas, this includes the kitchen cupboards and cooker. After the clean, we swap over utensils for Christmas ones, like snowman salt and pepper pots. I love all rooms to have a Christmas theme

I don't decorate the kitchen but I do bring out the festive dish towels on the 1st December! I also like to use up the food we have in the fridge & freezer in the weeks leading up to christmas so that there is plenty space for all the yummy festive food!

I always put a bit of Christmas bunting up and get my Christmas apron out which of course matches. I give the kitchen a deep clean and have Christmas flowers in the window.

We have Christmas lights on the kitchen windows, a chritmassy table cloth on and a little Christmas salt and pepper pot as well as Christmas tea towels! I have kids so Christmas infiltrates every bit of our house. I doubt it will stop when they leave home though - I love Christmas :)

My kitchen isn't really big enough for decorating.

We try to empty the fridge freezer to make room for party food. I also clean the oven (a job I hate!).

We have a kitchen/diner and we decorate the dining end with tree, decorations and fairy lights around the separating archway. It makes the whole room look really pretty, but without anything in the kitchen area itself.

I try to use up everything that has been lurking at the back of the freezer and bring out the Christmas fridge magnets but that's about it. The kitchen is generally immune from the OTT decorations covering the rest of the house.

I do a deep clean and the night before I get all the utensils and kitchenwear out ready.
