If summer is over then Halloween can't be far away. If you go all out at Halloween Lidl would love to hear what makes your Halloween party go with a bang, groan or rattle of a chain.

Do you have some seriously spooky snacks you serve up, some particularly petrifying party game or maybe your pumpkin carving skills are legendary (post pics - we WANT to see them!)? Are you a favourite stop for sweets or boo-tiful baking? Maybe you've come up with a genius way to dress the house for the scary season? Or do you have a tasty pumpkin recipe up your sleeve? Whatever your tips, tricks or recipes are we'd love to know.

Please post them on this thread and you will be entered into a prize draw where one winner will get £100 worth of Lidl vouchers (note the winner will be sent 4 x £25 vouchers, one voucher can be redeemed per transaction).

Thanks and good luck

Find an eyeball in the slime to win a bag of treats tends to be the favourite game. Using green Jelly Baff and ping-pong balls. Halloween themed loot bags with sweets, glow-sticks and tattoos make a good prize.

Frozen banana ghosts with choc chip eyes. And lots and lots of sweets!

lolamia91 · 04/10/2017 23:48

TiggersAngel7774 · 05/10/2017 07:31

Lots of tasty treats, spooky tunes and great games.
We tend to go to organised events with the National Autistic Society as my son has autism and adhd. So parties are sensitive to fact most kids on the spectrum need music not too loud

I like to do spooky snacks - eyeballs in slime (grapes in jelly); worms (spaghetti) etc etc.

Elizasmum02 · 05/10/2017 15:51

We love a good Halloween party, spooky music and decorations. One of the favourite games is to string up a line and dangle ring doughnuts at the right height for each child. They have to try and eat them without using their hands.
We love dressing up too. I often frighten the trick or treat callers

It's all about the music and extra gooey snacks. Jam and raspberry sauce in abundance.

pinkspideruk · 06/10/2017 06:37

we love halloween - we tend to buy all our decorations in the states as we always go on holiday sept time and they go big for halloween! We dont get many trick or treaters even though we always have a pumpkin outside.

fayesmummy · 06/10/2017 07:47

Flattened marshmellow with a slice of small kiwi on top and a chocolate drop in the middle looks like a spooky green eye.

hdh747 · 06/10/2017 08:27

Apple bobbing. Wind the mummy. Great costumes of course.
Spooky looking food and of course a great cake.
A film fest to wind down at the end - suitable for the ages present of course.

rocketriffs · 06/10/2017 08:36

Zombie's fingers dipped in a cauldron of blood.... or sausages dipped in a bowl of ketchup.

lorrainej162 · 06/10/2017 08:42

Turnip lanterns, apple dooking, party food, scary music and goody bags for guisers.

BGcat14 · 06/10/2017 11:13

We try to have some decorations and some themed food.

We're not great at Pumpkin carving but try to think of some original ideas that are achievable, we actually had a mini pumpkin so we had the idea that the giant one could be eating it... this is the result!

We extend ours into a gazebo in the garden for the messier games such as apple bobbing and catch the worm (jelly worms encased in jelly)

We also do a best outfit and craziest outfit competition.

Throw in some face paints so that kids can make their parents scary and you're onto a winner

Lulabellx1 · 06/10/2017 12:56

Gingerbread skeletons with limbs missing are fun, they always go down well with the kids!

pixiekim · 06/10/2017 13:18

Luckily our little one's too young for Halloween & all that ott stuff (I dread the day we get sucked into trick or treating) so for now we just turn off the lights & put on a couple of scary films. Can't go wrong!

FizzySmiles · 06/10/2017 14:22
