Having children is a big life event that involves lots of changes - from the amount of sleep you get to your clothing choices, and Ecover would like to hear about your style tips or laundry dilemmas post children.

Here’s what Ecover has to say: “Ecover’s new concentrated detergents are ideal for your baby's tiny clothes and gentle on their sensitive skin. But what about you? Ecover are hosting a style workshop with a top UK stylist and there’s a chance to either win an invite or a £300 voucher!

When you’re a mum your priorities naturally shift and precious ‘me time’ becomes scarce. We’re excited to be partnering with a top UK fashion stylist to host a feel good workshop for mums! She’ll be covering topics from fashion trends and “go-to” outfits to handy laundry tips to help families tackle their ever growing laundry basket.”

Perhaps you have practical style tips you wish you’d been aware of when you first became a parent? Or maybe you have style or laundry dilemmas that you still wish you had a solution to? Is the kind of outfit you feel great in the same as it was pre-children?

For a chance to win a £300 voucher (for a retailer of your choice, from a list) or an invite to Ecover’s Style Event on 18th September, post on the thread below sharing your style tips or laundry dilemmas.

Please note, the prize draw for Ecover’s style event will be run on the 13th September. The thread will be closing on the 18th September, and the voucher prize draw will take place at this time.

Thanks and good luck!

pleaaaase try not to compare or meet up to toehr parents.they most likely will be trying to dothe same or suffering in some other way your not.we are all different and need to be there for eacohter not berate or make others feel bad.
feel comfy.
by some base items then style with a new cardy or scarf.lovely scarfs are wonderful for both feeling comforted and some are sp pretty they can make an outifit look so different.ok plus they save dignity when you need to rush out and on your way spot a stain!
look In pyjama section.alot of the trousers are more jogger like so can totally pass as trousers.but more soft and comfy
the wrap cardies are fab.
aftersun is great to have.it sooths it can add a glint of its the oens with a tinted effect and its just feel yummy and softens instantly...they usually smell really lovely to due to being full of aloe or other good smelling stuff.
if you have other kids get them involved with syling mummy.it means they will fetch stuff whilst your arms are full hehe.
just a dab f perfume under the nose and behind ears even just for you can make things a little more on the up.getting a constant little mmmmm of ur fae special scent can feel very rejuvenating.

being pregnant can make you feel unsexy so i think by brightening the colours in your wardrobe can really lift your mood and the way you feel about yourself

I really wish i'd been told about how much Laundry supplies you are going to need! It's a good idea to stockpile. General laundry detergent can be too harsh for a baby’s skin so i went though loads of different products until i found one that suited my children, which cost me a lot of expense! grrr...

I know i shouldn't say this, but hand me down clothes are a great way to save money, has the children ruins loads of clothes with spag bol stains, dirt, mud etc., The amount of washing they go through is ridiculous which leads them to look washed out! (like me)! lol..

Now my daughter is expecting her first baby in Dec & this time i've pass my wisdom on to her, and hopefully she will take it on board.

Dresses all the way! Since having DS I found my midriff to be a problem area, and there's nothing worse than an overly tight waistband with overhanging flesh so I started to wear dresses. I have a range of maxi dresses that I wear with cardis or a denim jacket for daytime, and I have bought 4 beautiful quality dresses from Fat Face and Seasalt for work/business. It's so easy to look smart and stylish with a well made one-piece.

Style : Wear what’s comfortable and you feel confident in

Laundry: use OXY powder does wonders on whites and stained clothes. Cheaper than vanish also.

i buy clllothes for the family that fit in with our lifestyle - nothing white or too light or just get stained and thrown away. everything non-iron, i don't iron except school shirts

To be honest I gave up worrying how I looked after DC came in to the world. Easywash clothes that don't need ironing and flat comfy shoes is what I lived in

I have some "statement" glasses which mean that i feel like i can wear them and look put together without having to wear lots of make up. I also make the time to put mascara on which makes me feel a bit more like "old" me

We have clothes that tend to not need ironing. As a buy mum, the less ironing needed the better.

Cofortable clothing with children is a must. You never know what you will be doing next! I mean you dont want to be crawling around on the floor for a bottle your child has dropped in a store wearing your best trousers!

Over the years I have found that having almost a uniform is a perfect solution for clothes! I've found things that are comfortable and practical, look reasonable, are warm enough through winter, wash and dry easily. Wearing pretty much the same on a daily basis makes life very simple!

Colour catchers in with a load of washing means everything can go in at once - much easier than separating your whites

wrap round dresses and skirts have been my salvation - pulling in to reveal as much of a waist as still exists. Nothing white - ever......

Id always go through so many muslin cloths! Being organised is key - I had a laundry basket just for these!

My first tip is stop comparing yourself to others particularly 'celebrities' - you don't have to buy into the obsession with looks/fashion/size. As long as I am wearing clean clothes that are roughly suited to this century I am fit to go!

I have to use sensitive laundry products because my son get itchy eyes, I get eczema and the dog gets sore patches between her pads.

I just can't figure out how to get rid of yellow armpit stains over time on white tees - baking soda hasn't worked!

I wish I had known how handy baby wipes were before having children! Obviously after having 3 children, my weight and body shape has changed and I wish I could look as good as I did in clothes pre children. Therefore my style has definitely changed due to the change in weight!

I'm not very fashionable right now as I'm breastfeeding my Dd2 and I find nursing clothes pretty unstylish!!

I find it key to do washing every day to keep on top of it all and to buy clothes that can go in the tumble dryer, especially for the kids. The kids have their own washing basket so I always do their washing first of all and separate if poss to make sure I use non bio for their clothes and bedding.

My laundry dilemma is definitely sweat stains in school shirts. I have found soaking in Oxy white helps a lot but they are never 100% white in the armpit area.

I have tried to keep wearing the same colours so that I only have to do one colour wash! I also actively avoid wool or anything which needs special washing or dry cleaning.
