Watching children grow up and learn to play in creative, interesting ways can be heart-warming, but also hilarious. MegaBloks would like to hear about the funniest scenarios your kids have come up with when they've been playing make believe.

Here’s what MegaBloks have to say: “Every parent wants what’s best for their children. They want to build them up, and so do we at Mega Bloks. In stacking tall towers, children learn to develop their creativity. In telling stories with characters, they’re exploring their imaginations. And in building make-believe worlds where they can be the hero, they’re also building up the confidence to be anything!”

So, whether you've eavesdropped on your kids copying something you've done in an uncannily accurate way or you’ve been gobsmacked by them coming up with something that wouldn't be out of place in a soap opera, share your children’s funniest imaginary play stories with MegaBloks below.

All those who post on the thread will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Toys R Us voucher.

Thanks, and good luck with the prize draw!

My LB who is now 5 used to take the net from his Elefun butterfly game put it on his head and get his bucket of shells and pretend to be a fishmonger. One day whilst his dad was working he sat all playing selling the fish going out catching it etc. Before he went to bed I gave him his usual kiss and cuddle and he went off to sleep. The next day when he seen his dad he told him 'Dad, Mam was kissing the man who works in the Fish shop last night in bed' 😂😂 had to sit and explain that the 'man in the fish shop' was our cheeky little chap. Its a good job he new what he was like lol

My daughter used to love watching Dancing on Ice and used to get pieces of paper, sellotape them to her feet and slide around the living room floor :)

After visiting an agricultural show last year, I found my two girls in the shed one day, one was a cow and the other was the milkmaid ??? - Thankfully seems like it was a one off.

My children pretended to be mummy and daddy and mummy did alot of nagging to daddy, I hope I'm really not like that :)

My DC loves to pretend to be a doctor and perform an operation on Grandma. Mum is very sporting to play along with it and lie still for so long!

My daughter and my three stepsons made a 'hotel' for me and their Dad to check into. At first we played along quite happily but then we realised they had the whole day scriped out! There was a check in, a room inspection, a show, a restaurant. That was a LONG day!

My little girl (nearly 2) has now decided that hide and seek is her favourite game. It's just fantastic to see her thinking that she's well hidden but is in fact standing in the corner of the room. Seeing her toes peeping out from a curtain along with loads of giggling is also kind of a big giveaway bless her.

Our eldest set up his own little school with all his teddys. Then his younger brother asked if he could join in and spent the next 10 minutes in detention. Think he regretted asking.

My 3 year old great niece had a great time last week when I went to visit. I'd bought her a toy witch that sang I put a spell on you & span around dancing & a toy cat which rolled around on the floor giggling saying 'I'm a wacky cat, woah, I can't stop'. She loved to copy them rolling around on the floor & then decided she was a witch casting spells on all the family turning them into frogs who had to jump around shouting 'ribbit, ribbit' & mice who squeaked & dragons who roared.

My son pretends that he is in a TV show that his fans (teddy bears) love. I'm still not sure what the show is supposed to be about

my daughter used to have her own country called elisabetania, she made her own money and passports too!

ama6270 · 26/10/2016 10:21

My youngest decided to get everything out of the kitchen cupboards, from watching her from afar she's chatting away and I can hear her saying "I don't want to get booted off" with that I've gone in the kitchen and said "What's wrong" her reply "Oh mum now you've come along my cake isn't going to win the GBBO lol, but of course she did, a little chef in the making

rutsan · 26/10/2016 10:36

My then 9 and 5 year old decided to put on a play for the grandparents. I wish the ground could have swollowed me up when they started the play. My 9 year old had a glass of wine with water in it and started saying "hello I'm mum, i just love to drink wine",

When DS1 was around 3yo his favourite game was 'home delivery'.

He'd instruct me every morning before nursery "my new phone/ipad/vacuum cleaner is getting delivered today. Someone needs to be home to sign for it so please don't go out anywhere!"

As soon as I collected him each afternoon: "did it arrive? Did it arrive? oh I can't wait to get home!"

As soon as we arrived home: "oh I don't believe this! They've sent the wrong one!"

This would be followed by him furiously dialing a number into the palm of his hand, putting the hand against his ear and then pacing the living room, gesticulating wildly while he talked to 'Debbie in customer services' - "it's just not good enough, Debbie..."

This went on for months. Little oddball.

He also went through a phase where every time I put his reins on him (because he was a bolter) he would drop to all fours and crawl around barking.

When driving past Swansea football club my little one said "I play football there", so when we quizzed him further he went on to explain that each Friday in school they get a bus to the ground (from near Abergavenny) to do some football training. We asked him more questions and he had answers for them all, he was adamant he went there and had convinced himself....but not us!

PaulineFowlersGrowler · 26/10/2016 10:56

I heard my nearly 2 y/o DS playing little red riding hood, he said the usual "what big ears you have, what big eyes you have" then I heard "what big boobies you have" haha....don't remember THAT from the book!

andywedge · 26/10/2016 11:00

My son has a calendar where he writes down major events / things he's done. One day, I noticed it said 'Time travelling with Dad'. I asked him what this was and he said, 'You know, when we went time travelling Dad?' I said I didn't remember it so he said 'OK, maybe you haven't done it yet but I didn't make it up'

TJCB68 · 26/10/2016 11:10

My five year old dd used to insist upon me playing 'Pride and Prejudice' with her. She would be Jane and I would be Elizabeth.

kateandme · 26/10/2016 11:27

making a makeshift village in the lounge out of dvd.just like a domino effect one push and they will fall...but whilst it lasts all the characters have little square homes.

shroney · 26/10/2016 11:31

My Ds loved the film the Wizard of Oz and refused to take off the dressing up outfit of Dorothy for ages, she insisted that we called her that instead and would only answer if I called her Dorothy which gave us some very strange looks when we were out and about.
