Ariel have teamed up with Sainsbury’s to support team GB at the Paralympic games, where athletes will have the opportunity to have truly life changing moments, and in light of this, Ariel would like to hear about the life changing moments you’ve had.

Here’s what Ariel have to say: “We have always believed that clothes have the power to bring out our best when the moment matters, but what about when that moment has the potential to be life changing?”

So, share the moments in your life that you feel have been life-changing – whether they’ve changed your life path for the better or the worse.

All those who post below will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 Sainsbury's voucher.

Thanks, and good luck!

Getting married and having kids, best thing that ever happened.

molecole · 05/09/2016 23:51

when I found out against all odds I had got in to uni

The moment that changed my life was my fist daughter's birth. It's changed me from a chemical engineer to a full time carer , she was born with a true knot in her umbilical cord and because of the oxygen starvation she has Cerebral palsy,

Even though I hate that moment, I still see the positive side as I gain a completely different life with a most adorable daughter.

Becoming a mum, my whole world changed and it took a good while to get used to it all.

this time last year we had an amzing family party for my daughters 18th. The following day my mother had a massive stroke, and it has been the worst year of my life.

Leaving theatre school to go to Uni - it was all I'd ever wanted for 1st 19 years of my life, but as usual, mum and dad were right

My boyfriend and I went travelling around the world for 4 months after leaving university and that was pretty life changing, we saw for ourselves true poverty but also indescribable wealth and met everyone in between.

Persuading DP to get a dog - a big, energetic dog who needed lots of long walks in the country. He wasn't really that much of a fan of dogs before but has fully embraced her as a member of the family. It's not always easy - walks required rain or shine, having to consider the dog when making plans for the day, vets bills and so on - but definitely worth it!

Mine has to be moving to Spain for 6 months last year with my 3 year old son. We were stuck in a rut here and I wanted to give him some lovely memories and for me to clear my head. I faced quite a lot of criticism for doing this and was told it was a selfish thing to do but sometimes you have to put yourself first and both of us have thrived as a result. We are now back in the UK and I feel positive about the future for us both at last :)

Finding myself pregnant with my first child age 43! it was completely unexpected so a bit of a shock and took a while to get used to especially by my husband! it all turned out well though and we have a gorgeous little boy :)

I started suffering with Panic Attacks in 2012. I had to stop my PGCE and become a stay at home Mum. I'm still learning to be more kind to myself. I have had to be a stay at home Mum for the last couple of years and I'm grateful I have had chance to see my babies grow when others might not have the chance.

ClockBusCanada · 06/09/2016 10:40

Working from home has been life-changing for me! The chance to put a wash on instead of gossiping around the water cooler is a far more productive way to take a break - and something I never would have been able to achieve if I was still working on the shop floor at Sainsbury's.

Having my son, I did hypnobirthing and did the whole thing with no pain relief, it was amazing and I can't wait to do it again Grin

When an old friend died due to their lifestyle, it made me realise how I need to be a good role model to my children to make sure they don't chose the wrong path in life too.

GREATAUNT1 · 06/09/2016 15:55

Having breast cancer, & then recurring bladder cancer. I was never exactly a wilting violet, but I'm so much more adventurous these days. No challenge is ever too great, & I've done things that I'd probably never have done before. I've travelled the world, & if my life came to an end tomorrow I know that I've lived it to the max. I'm so lucky!

When I lost my Mum very suddenly made me realise you need to live for the here & now and not to hold back on giving my opinions. Make everday count

My lifechanging moment has got to be when i became a mum to twin boys. It was all new and I don't think i was ever ready for it. A couple of years prior to having my boys my grandad passed away, he was like the heart of the family and i was devastated when he went. I spiraled into depression and had to learn a lot about myself in this time. When i found out i was pregnant i was nervous and 5 months in i developed a psychosis as well as depression and had to be admitted into hospital. It was a real tough time. My boys made an early appearance 9 weeks early on the memorial day of my grandads death. I believe my grandad sent them on that day to help ease my pain. Now the sadness that i used to feel has faded slightly and i now celebrate that day for the fantastic person he was and that my boys are.

Deciding to count redundancy at 59 as retirement. The money's rubbish, but it's meant I've been able to help look after my three DGS and forge a real relationship with them.

GruffaloPants · 06/09/2016 19:37

Giving birth - not the most original answer, but true.

Starting my own business and getting my driving licence have been pretty big too.

redbook · 06/09/2016 19:45

Having DS. Has changed my perspective on myself, other people and my outlook.

Hopezibah · 06/09/2016 20:14

When I landed my dream job by going way out of my comfort zone and approaching the company I dreamed of working for and got to do exactly the job I wanted to fit in with my family. At one point I thought my career and my passion for my career was over and now it is totally happening again!

ricola1 · 06/09/2016 20:17

Watching my youngest daughter do her school nativity play. I was so proud at how confident and brave she was
