To celebrate the launch of DisneyLife, the new digital membership service from Disney, they'd love to hear about your favourite Disney films from your childhood and whether you've shared this film with your DCs.

Here's what DisneyLife says "We're so excited to launch DisneyLife, which gives the whole family access to a fantastic collection of Disney and DisneyPixar movies, Disney Channels TV box sets, books, music and more, in one place. DisneyLife will help create magical moments for the whole family to share, so we're keen to hear about your favourite Disney film from childhood and if you've shared a magical moment with your children by watching this together."

So, what was your favourite Disney film when you were a child? Maybe The Jungle Book was your favourite and you would always sing along to the Bare Necessities? Or perhaps you loved Peter Pan and wished you could fly around Neverland? Maybe you watched Pocahontas repeatedly and wanted to learn to paint with all the colours of the wind? Have you shared your favourite Disney film with your DCs?

Whatever your favourite Disney film was, DisneyLife would love to hear about it!

Everyone who adds a comment will be entered in to a prize draw where one winner will receive a £300 Love2Shop voucher.

I loved Pinocchio when I was a child - it was always on the tv around Christmas.

EmNix · 27/12/2015 17:11

I loved watching Robin Hood

MyNewBearTotoro · 27/12/2015 17:11

Hard to pick a favourite. I loved the animal ones.

Lady & The Tramp. Bambi. The Jungle Book. The Rescuers. The Aristocats. Dumbo.

Also liked Peter Pan and Fantasia. The only Disney film I remember viewing at the cinema was The Lion King but oddly I don't remember ever really liking it. We never had it on VHS so I don't think I saw it again until I was much older.

I never really liked the animated films when I was little, I think I appreciate them more now, to be honest, particular the older ones. However, for me Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl is the Disney film which has me laughing every time I watch it. Johnny Depp's face is just so expressive. If I had to pick an animated one, it'd have to be Ratatouille.

I loved watching Pete's Dragon when I was young, it was funny and I liked the songs.

SaltySeaBird · 27/12/2015 19:49

The first Disney film I saw was at the cinema, Bambi (a special showing - not when it was the original release!). I'm not sure I loved it though.

I saw Toy Story for the first time when I was 18 and that has been my firm favourite ever since. Not really childhood though! It is also my three year old DD's favourite - she saw one last Christmas when it was on TV and now loves all three of them.

I didn't see the end of Bambi, until it was eventually released on video- as my sister ate too many sweets and was sick. I remember being ushered out of the cinema- I was about 6, and very cross. I was spared the sad ending, at least, and could pretend for years that they lived happily ever after. Grin

The Little Mermaid.

IAmAPaleontologist · 27/12/2015 20:58

I don't know!

Dumbo was the first one we ever saw I think, we didn't really get taken to the cinema. I remember when dad came home with a "modern" TV and our first ever video player and he had Dumbo with him. We were so excited watching it and then gutted when he explained it was from the video rental place and he had to take the film back. I don't think I've watched it since then and I don't really remember much about it.

I loved watching Snow White which we actually bought on video, I used to adore watching the "extras" on the video with the song about eating their soup with the pencil line, incomplete animation. It was fab.

Something I have noticed there days with Disney is that they used to be roughly: Intorduction, something sad happens (sent away/parent dies/lost) then the film kind of floats along (SW lives happily with dwarfs/SB with the fairies in the cottage/Simba is happy with Timon and Pumba), then a scary bit and the end. Now there are scary bits all the way through. Poor ds2 was trying to climb out of his seat and go home watching The Good Dinosaur the other day!

sarah861421 · 27/12/2015 21:21

Used to love Bambi but when I watched it recently with a friends child, I thought it was actually quite scary

Themilseys · 27/12/2015 21:22

My favourite was Jungle Book - it was the first time my Dad ever took me to the cinema and I can still remember the day so well. I was delighted when it was shown on TV for the first time the other week and the whole family sat and watched it, wonderful!

shawbarbara · 27/12/2015 21:24

I loved Sleeping Beauty - a real love story - so sweet

MAT12 · 27/12/2015 21:31

I only ever went to the cinema twice when i was young and one of them was to see Bambi. I just feel in love with the whole film, the character, the story. I still love it as much today.

StarTravels · 27/12/2015 21:39

Robin Hood, closely followed by Sword In The Stone

hanarees · 27/12/2015 21:46

I loved the Lion King - especially all the songs. I could still watch it over and over now!

emmamcmahon · 27/12/2015 22:17

eteo · 27/12/2015 22:18

cherylann2461 · 27/12/2015 22:20

My favourite film was Pinocchio. I still love all the Disney films and see them all.

manfalou · 27/12/2015 22:28

The Little Mermaid! Now I'm older i think maybe its because it was made the year I was born and I'm now a qualified scuba diver ;)

pfcpompeysarah · 27/12/2015 22:41

I loved Cinderella, I remember I used to have this gorgeous record of the soundtrack with the story included in the sleeve of it, I adored it.

clareycat · 27/12/2015 22:47
