I am looking into mobility allowance. Does anyone know, if you can get it, if your child has Autism?

@Guineapigmadness @TigerRag @fortifiedwithtea @vjg13
l phoned up a couple of days ago as l still haven’t heard if l have won my appeal. I was told as l did a paper copy and didn’t attend the tribunal in person. I will have to wait for a few weeks and then l will get my decision, whether it has been approved or not. It’s been over 6 months. I have felt like giving up, but l won’t. That it what the government want people to do. Hopefully, l can come back with some good news!

Update. DLA hasn’t sent PIP details of the rate she was was receiving when on dla. So l have to wait for the result. They don’t have a date for the next tribunal. Getting really fed up.

@Dontjudgeme101 Have you tried emailing your MP about this? It may help to speed up the process.

Thank you for this information. I hadn’t thought of that. I might as well give it a go, l have nothing to lose. I am so worn out by this process. Onwards and upwards!

@Dontjudgeme101 It doesn't take much time to email your MP and mine (who is generally rubbish) has an excellent case worker who does fire off emails and try to help.

Oh my goodness, I hope you get sorted soon OP.

I haven’t emailed for MP for personal reasons. I have however rang the Courts. DLA have finally sent over the information that PIP need. So l have to now wait for the appeal to be heard. I have to ring in 4 weeks time, if l haven’t heard anything! Does anyone know if she should be getting DLA until l find out the outcome of the appeal?

DLA only continues until a PIP decision is made, it doesn’t continue until the appeal is heard.

Dontjudgeme101 · 20/04/2023 17:01

@Imitatingdory that makes sense. Thank you

I have just received another letter say that again my DD’s hearing didn’t go ahead. So it looks like we will be attending the tribunal. Has anyone attended appeal hearing in person? I am just looking out for pointers.
