Another question, just got report back from school and it seems that chloe is struggling with reading and writing as well as concentration and inatentiveness!!
Her behaviour has been but put to be mainly good although there have been a few problems, but they have put this down to it being structured and her knowing class rules.
At home and with others she is a nightmare.!! The pead formally DX ADHD but have to go through the assesment process at the ADHD clinic.
Could she have another form of disorder and which this is why she can be good at school.
I def think she has ADHD but everyone says it depends on her behaviour in school.!!
IS THIS TRUE? AM I FIGHTING A LOSING BATTLE?
ADVISE NEEDED PLEASE!!!??

fluppy is right about not assuming that an active child wants to be in noisy/busy environments all the time. People have made this mistake with my DS before as he is very physical and active. He actually finds chaotic places quite confusing and stressful. But he does like physical activities and, with very poor play or leisure skills, we have gradually developed a set of physical activities to attend, mostly SN-specific. This includes swimming, trampolining (which is great as a formal activity and not just at home), horse riding, yoga. At home we have a small trampoline, as our garden is too small for a big one, plus exercise balls (cheap from Argos) which are brilliant and I'm working up to getting an exercise bike! I know this isn't the big answer to ADHD and great difficulty with behaviour but some of these ideas might help.
