Blossy would be on her way home now!!!!!! Unfortunately I was unable to get over to see her due to hubbys accident at Butlins!!!!!

The assessment started on Wednesday and would have finished at about 3pm today......so hopefully if dear old blossy isnt too shattered she may be around later with her news.....fingers crossed all went well for her.

I am back and it's so sweet to know you have all been thinking about me. Well it was an amazing experience and I will write more when I am less tired as have so much going on in my head.

Just feel so pointless at the moment....chaos surrounds me and everything I do is going terribly wrong at the moment. I desparately hoped my yhyroid was the issue....but looks like it's not. i have no energy anymore and am getting so fat....so Blossie..... I can't wait to here what happened at BIBIC as i need 'inspiring ' again....as it's back to school on 11th April....and the way i feel now- just one bad day for Leigh and i will keep him home- can't stand the confrontations nor the upset.

Cod - I am gonna need your help. Dd is going on a yeast free diet - help!!!!!!

Right I can give a brief summary in that Bibic were very, very upset that anyone could have considered a dx of adhd for dd, let alone offer her Ritalin. They are still doing the CARS scale (child autism rating scale) but they do not feel she presents with an asd as she is very sociable, has imaginative play. However dd has a lot of sensory difficulties (they blew me away with how many things are affecting her) and that can throw out asd/adhd traits. They feel that she has a pragmatic language disorder (which I knew) with lots of sensory issues. She may come out very mild on the CARS scale but once we get the sensory sorted that could all rectify itself. As I said though they have no idea how she will score.
I cried when we left as without sounding corny it was a very life changing event for all of us

I finally understand after so long why my dd behaves the way she does. That is such a liberating feeling. I have been through a mixture of emotions, I cried, laughed, felt guilty that I hadn't picked up some of the things.
The amazing thing was that for an underlying cognitive/IQ test she came on the 90th centile. Which basically means if you had 100 children dd's age only 10 would be more intelligent than her!!!! Sorry to boast but am very proud
These people put the bog standrad NHS to shame they really do!!!!

sounds so goo- especially to come away with that cognitive result....its one thing KNOWING your child is great....but being told this by someone else just is fantastic.
That Pragmatics bit makes sense to me..... the sensory stuff can cause so much distress/frustration that 'behaviours ' can emerge that aren't so nice too..... bit like my friends son- he's nearly 3 and has excema that goes sceptic so he has to wear body bandages....now he is definitely showing 'behavioural' problems....and largely due to his 'preference of adults company and obsession with Thomas the tank etc....the HV is considering him being assessed for ASD...... however she has also pointed out that HE IS DRIVEN TO DISTRACTION BY THE ALLERGIES/Excema that it's no wonder that he gets so DISTRESSED AND FRUSTRATED......
