Oh poor ds RnB
Do you mean C in the canteen???
I think you are right in that with dd things aren't so cut and dry. We werene't sure what was going on and to be honest they have really pointed us in the right direction.
I hate to add they were fantastic with ds as well. He was so included in it all and the therapist that worked with dd had her eating out of her hand. Dd was like a model student!!!
We have rebooked for 6 months time.
Just have the dietary stuff to do now, eek!!!

So thrilled that your visit went well - sounds like it really was the boost you needed

I had my BIBIC telephone interview on Thursday - cant wait to go now!! They just seem so understanding.

Interestingly, I asked whether it would be appropriate for us to take ds1 (8 years) as well and Kate (?) said that it was entirely up to us. She said that there was a little currently being assessed whose 8 year old brother was also with her and that he was being very good - wondered if that might have been you and yours BH?

Lots of Love

Merlot · 02/04/2005 12:08

Why does that do that to me? I didnt know g1rl was a rude word??!!

Blossomhill · 02/04/2005 12:12

Hi Merlot

Yes that was us as dd was the only little girl. They were brilliant with ds, he had agreat time!!!

Please CAT me and we can talk off-line about it if you want.

It was an amazing experience and things seem so, so much clearer now. The future also looks brighter too. I just feel so priviliged that we had the opportunity for this experience and finally I can do something to really help dd which is such a liberating experience!!!!

Lots of love Blossomxxxxx

Blossomhill · 02/04/2005 12:22

Thanks Mizmiz. Only if you have time though x

Merlot · 02/04/2005 15:43

I thought it might have been you BH....I nearly said to Kate.. to go and say hi from Merlot...but I thought better of it, just in case it wasnt you

I will CAT you when I have a chance - I'm just so very pleased that your mood seems to have lifted. I am sure that BIBIC will do the same for me. I felt like singing from the rooftops just because I had chatted to someone from there!

coppertop · 02/04/2005 18:00

See, BH! We all told you before you left that your dd sounded like a very bright little girl.

Davros · 02/04/2005 18:05

Hi BH, I felt that BIBIC would be the right place for you. I'm so glad it went well and that you feel much more clear about what you're coping with. I'm sure it was an emotionally exhausting experience and, even though its positive, you must be feeling like you've been through the wringer. I know a few people who've done yeast free diet so I'll see if I can find out anything useful. I remeber one child who was taking Nystatin for yeast and it did seem to make him pong a bit!! Anyway, welcome home!

Blossomhill · 02/04/2005 18:44

Thanks everyone

It is all a bit daunting as I have lots to do but Bibic have said not to stress and do little bits at a time. So start off with a couple of the sensory items as if we go in with the full 15minutes x twice a day it would be too much.
So we are hoping to be up and running within a couple of weeks.
In about a month they will call but are a phonecall away whenever I need them.
In 3 months if we want they will do outreach and see us doing the therapy at home.
Even today dd was doing some of the things that are casued by her sensory problems and it all made so much sense.
The sensory stuff is fun, especially rolling her up in a quilt like a sausage. Both of my kids liked that!

Blossomhill · 02/04/2005 18:46

Merlot please do CAT me. It would be great to chat.
All of my family are busy thinking up fundraising ideas. They are as grateful as I am and my mum is going to be trained up on the program so that when she has dd she can do it!
