"you can get two or three books a week for free from library for DS you know". . Instead of coldly retorting that I was a regular library user, I think I should have played along and made her give me the address and phone numbers of all the nearby libraries

moondog knows more, but basically it's a funky computer program with spaceships and aliens to teach kids to read by the phonics method aimed at 4-7 year olds. it's not specially designed for kids with SN, but can be of use. I think Moondog is involved in research with kids with ASD using headsprout.
