I think I will bring Ds because he gets really agitated if I leave him with my Mum for too long and Bristol is quite far. Not sure about Dp I would feel awkward if everyone brings their Dps and I haven't but ditto if I do and noone else does.

I might be able to make Bristol meet up as family are still in the area. Would have to bring both girls though as dh away 21st June weekend. But perhaps could leave them at my mum's.

Oif - I'd be up for a Kent meet -up too - its been far too long.

TotalChaos · 01/05/2008 13:31

I'm planning on bringing DS and sending DH off to spot buses or something!

Flame · 01/05/2008 15:03

Have checked - can do 21st DH will not want to come, so it means I am free to bring any/none children as slots in with everyone else

theheadgirl · 01/05/2008 18:16

Feeling mardy now - can't do the 21st . You'll have to post incriminating pictures......

oiFoiF · 01/05/2008 19:11

you are always welcome here anyway HITC its still a bl;oody mess though, i have to tell you but at least there is a ceiling on in the kitchen these days......but we can arrange anything you fancy. I know Shiny wants to meet you too x

TinySocks · 02/05/2008 06:13

HI All, just catching up with mumsnet news!
DH will not come. I am still undecisive, I want to bring DS2, but if TotalChaos brings her DS maybe he could teach my DS1 a thing or two about talking in 2 word phrases!! We could put them in a corner with pecs and get a knowledge tranfer going on.

How about a brunch? (nothing too expensive please).

staryeyed · 02/05/2008 10:43

Im up for anything. I dont know Bristol at all so Im relying on your recommendations.

So for an Eastern meet-up we would have
Me
Magso
Coppertop
Mymatemax
?Bonkerez?
?Oif?
Any others welcome?

I think I am slap bang in the middle of you all so if I suggest somewhere central it will be conveniently near to me . Come to that you would all be welcome at my house - honestly. I'm thinking however that if Coppertop is travelling by train with her dd we ought to try and be nearer to her as she will have the most difficult journey.

Oh, I don't know - someone else choose or at least rule out what they can't drive in a school day. None of it's more than an hour's drive for me, so I shouldn't be the one to decide.

magso · 02/05/2008 11:36

I would need to get back for 3.30pm so could make coffeee/brunch/ early lunch in Pb, Newmarket Eli and more easily Cambridge or anywhere in between. I have a little car, so am flexible. I am hopeless at organising things so I'll not volunteer my bungling!!

mymatemax · 02/05/2008 17:01

Newmarket would be perfect for me, its about an hour & a half but could do an early lunch & be back to pick up ds2...but i'm being selfish... would be happy to travel further if no good for everyone else!

bonkerz · 02/05/2008 18:19

id be up for eastern meet up. Am in leicester and can travel up to an hour away really before i start with problems (thats if we are meeting on school day cos i have to be available if DS gets excluded!) If its non school day or without kids i have to consult DH diary!

Saker · 02/05/2008 19:10

Well I could definitely manage Newmarket as it's only 4 miles from me . However it's more like 21/2h from Leicester. Peterborough is about an hour from Leicester I think but that would be at least 21/2h for Mymatemax. We are still quite widely spread I'm afraid... don't know what to suggest...

coppertop · 03/05/2008 15:11

I've just looked it up and Newmarket is 1hr 45mins on the train for me. Not so bad if the meet-up is on a weekend but makes it virtually impossible if it's a school day.

OTOH I have such a bad sense of direction that I have no idea where would be easier for everyone else either.

Can you tell that my organisational skills are crap lacking?

Flame · 11/05/2008 08:36

How we going with planning this?

staryeyed · 12/05/2008 20:47

Can we have a list of who is up for the Bristol meet up on the 21st June and also some suggestions about where it could be held.

OP posts:
staryeyed · 13/05/2008 18:32

head girl was making the lists but she can no longer make it.

asteamedpoater · 13/05/2008 22:09

Sorry, I still don't know if I can make 21 June - reliant on dh's ability to get time off work, which he won't know about until end of next week. If he can get the day off, I'll be on for a meet in Bristol.

sphil · 13/05/2008 22:39

Sorry - I can't do the 21st any more. Could do 22nd!

TinySocks · 14/05/2008 05:27

22nd is okay with me too sphil (actually works better than the 21st).
