Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

only lots of daddy long legs at our place at the moment with a few of these too

warning spider pic - arachnophobics do not click Ours are high up in the trees though so no bother.

Would be v. interested in meeting up - a bit freaky, though, like finally seeing a photo of your favourite radio presenter and realising they really don't look like their voice!

I quite often travel down to Bristol to visit friends, so would be happy to meet there (preferably without kids...). Also occasionally venture as far as Leeds, although that's quite a trek from ours.

You're all slim, beautiful and in your early 30s. Not a wrinkle to be seen on your perfect faces and no stretch marks on your taut stomachs. A bit of a wart and verruca problem going around, though.

asteamedpoater · 26/04/2008 13:09

ps apologies to anyone who hasn't read the Posting on this Board thread and therefore wonders why I'm imagining warts.

eidsvold · 26/04/2008 13:24

well that is me out - am turning the big 4-0 this year.

theheadgirl · 26/04/2008 13:51

DD1 had to describe me for a school project. "Short, quite friendly and a bit chubby.."
Whats more, she's right!

theheadgirl · 26/04/2008 14:05

OK, let me be a bit of a headgirl about this, so we can see where we are! If there's enough numbers we could have 2 meetups north and south. Or just the one if there's not
This is the state of play so far. Feel free to cut/paste/add your name/move your name

I could do Bristol, but would have to be without children, which then makes it harder to organise.

A definite maybe.

flyingmum · 26/04/2008 16:51

Hi

What a lovely idea.

Without Children . . . north pole suddenly sounds attractive. I'm Slurry so can do Bristol and have rellies oop north so can do Leeds/Bradford way. There are days though when Australia sounds tempting . . .

I've just found a photo of me and hubby with a baby DS1 - we look SOOOOO young! and unstressed! and unwrinkled . . . Am now withered old bag with face ache which doctors and dentists seem not to be able to cure. Hey ho.

yurt1 · 26/04/2008 17:00

I don't mind if other's bring theirs btw. There's just no point me bringing ds1 as I can't talk to anyone if I do!

oiFoiF · 26/04/2008 17:17

I could do brum as my mum lives very close (you would never guess as I dont have the accent at all...........................

I am in kent though and I am quite happy to meet people for daytime meets as I dont have any kind of social life at all

Flame · 26/04/2008 17:18

I'm in Bournemouth.... I know sod all about places

Brisol sounds doable though

oiFoiF · 26/04/2008 17:20

oops the conversation has moved om

hope you all have a nice time

you know some woman at works dh has sent her off, all paid for by his 'overtime' to jamaica with her girl friends (I work in retail btw!) I thought why cant my fucking dh do it because hell knows I need it and I would be happy with cheddar gorge I am so deprived

mshadowsisfab · 26/04/2008 18:59

sadly I don't live near any of those place and would be to hard to arrange.
any chance of one near sussex?

mymatemax · 26/04/2008 19:21

I'm about as far east as you can get so Bristol would be hard.
Somewhere a little more in the middle would be good.
Would love to meet every one else's lo's but I would leave ds2 at home, same as yurt I wouldn't do much talking with him around.

Oh & I imagine you all as tall, slim, beautifully presented ladies

sphil · 26/04/2008 19:23

Can I join the Bristol list? Only 40 mins from me (smug . ) Would love to meet all the children (and for everyone to meet DS2) but he probably wouldn't enjoy it much tbh, unless there was a constant supply of chips! We could come as a family though - then DH could do the looking after while I did the chatting...

sphil · 26/04/2008 19:25

Am not slim and a long way the wrong side of 40 btw .

I can do Sussex, too. Basically, almost anywhere (Scotland might be pushing it).

Have car, like trains, will travel.
