I'm dreading when i have to move over to uc. It seems so complicated and stressful 😫

@Leopardprintleelan 100% I'd definitely claim it for the same reason, yes you can claim weekly also,really?! I never knew that, i work right up untill I couldn't, now it's virtually impossible 🥺 I'd love to have that social interaction back.

@Fee89 definitely 😂🥰 I'm already on UC, i haven't had much issues really, but I never got tax credits so wouldn't know the difference xx

@Tasha0429 I'v heard so many complain about uc that it actually gives me nightmares. Going from weekly to monthly is worrying me and people say they are worse off 😬. Hearing all the battles people are having with backpay aswell 🤦🏻‍♀️ xx

😂 simply hot dogs by themselves or cut up into pasta, she won’t have any sauce or cheese nothing like that 🤦‍♀️ i thought she would be fed up of it by now but she’s been having it for years, I called the doctors about it and they basically said as long as she’s eating she will outgrow it but she’s 13 now

@Fee89 it was a stressful move, and it's been difficult to change over to monthly pay. Been 5 months now and I've just about got it down, but IF🤞 I do get an award, I will claim CA for the class 1 contributions as I have full contributions since 16 so far. Plus the weekly factor would be a major bonus. @Tasha0429 yeah even though they're taking it off UC £4£ monthly, it's worth it for me as it's hard to budget for the emergency shoes because these "ick me out starting from now" or the "I need new school tights because I've pulled these apart thread by thread trying to sit still during assembly"

Thanks @Tasha0429 , I thought there was something about CA. I sooo miss work sometimes. I did leave the full time one I had because when my son’s needs started to be obvious, my boss was bullying me relentlessly and I simply couldn’t cope with the anxiety. I was literally puking every morning just terrified the commute would be late or I’d have a call from nursery. She was an utter cow, however, she sent a colleague home once because she was grieving her dead cat! Kid you not…

We got migrated to UC recently and first statement was like half what we had from tax credits, I was so worried. Turned out they had missed the carer element and transitional payment, still, that means it will eventually go down significantly.

Massive congratulations for all the new awards… wow, they must have all had a good breakfast and a pint of coffee this morning!

@Leopardprintleelan Thing is my worry. Even when working full time we still had tax credits coming in weekly so i could work everything out. It means changing all my bills as i have them spread out so if something does come up i always have a balance weekly. Hope that makes sense x

Yeah exactly the issue I had, and legacy benefits stopped instantly. They do give you the first claim advance which does help. I could pay everything for the month ahead but had to ring every single place within that month to change to monthly. Nightmare. Also it triggered with the JC that I don't work and needed to do 35 hours job search a week. Can't even get 35 seconds for the toilet!! Literally whilst the job coach was sat asking what work I was going to look for for 35 hours a week whilst i heard about DLA claim school rang with darling child in the background having a full on meltdown. He literally could not have cared less and I just wanted out of there!

@Bossofthehouse 😂😂😂 I love that I'm not the only one 🙈🙈 the hot dogs haunt me 🤣 it's around 2 nearly 3years for me, he's only 7! And the doctor says the same! I worry as I think how is he surviving with this diet 🥺 x

@Fee89 another thing I don't get mine was done quite fast 😂 when I originally got DLA, I wouldn't know the difference when it cones down to worse off so can't comment. Xxx

@Leopardprintleelan yeah to have a little something each week to pull you over, I always put aside for emergencies, or the what ifs, just incase, even if it's as little as £5 a week, and build it from there, always something isn't there 😂 my child will eat his clothes 🙈 so I'm totally with you haha xx

@Chickapea77 that's horrible 😔 there's some really nasty folk about!! No hearts, but crys over the cat!! Imagine!!! Selfish... I also had no choice, I was burning at both ends trying to provide working my ass off, and up all night, and then nursery (at the time) ringing constantly as they couldn't cope, so I had to leave, I've gave my whole life up, I was in the middle of a degree at the same time too! I completely miss having that side of me, where I wasn't just a mum, it's bitter sweet, I absolutely love my children, and would I do the same again? Yes in a heartbeat, there's nothing in this world we wouldn't do eh 💕💕

@Leopardprintleelan cant they give you a grace period while you wait for dla? This makes no sense. Find a job for 4 months to then leave? Yup lets turn my childs life upside down even more just so some tw@t can feel as though he has control x

@Fee89 I've got a video call with a different person this Thurs so I'm going to speak to them again show them the letters evidence etc. School have called me twice already just today, I'm sure an employer would love that! He was so arsey I thought it's my luck I'll say something and get kicked out of the JC. 😂I've got pink hair piercings and tats so probably down as the sort to cause a ruckus 😂
@Tasha0429 is this a thing? What would that do? Pause the job search requirements? It's my own fault really I should just make shit up like I'm sure some do! I'm just too honest. I'm an aries and can't deal with bullshit so it doesn't come easy to me to dish it out😂

@Tasha0429 sorry I meant more pretending to get a job whilst really just making stuff up to write down. Had a friend that used to do this and I was always so scared they'd get found out. Apparently it was the norm. Way too honest for my own liking!

I trust people more that say it how it is, can handle the truth better over a lie.
