DLA wait times Dec '22

I couldn't see an updated thread for DLA wait times so I thought I'd make a new one for anyone else currently waiting to hear back.

I've recently applied for DLA for my DS for the first time with a scan date of 21st Dec. I've been told it'll be about 12-15 weeks before I hear anything back. Anyone else want to join in the wait?

@AFriendToEveryoneIsAFriendToNoOne Oh wow, that sounds super stressful. Having only just begun claiming I'm not yet familiar with renewing but it doesn't sound like anything to look forward to!
My recent initial claim took around 14 weeks, I'm not sure if it's the same for renewing though, it might be a long wait. I hope you get it all sorted, even if your Carer's Allowance and DLA stops temporarily I'm sure it gets backdated up to 3 months? Hope you're able to manage in the interim.
