Have just joined at dh's request but feel like a complete billy-no-mates - virtually nobody I know in RL is on there.

Anyone here who'll be my friend?

Hi Louise, you know me already (SBD) - and I promise I will get around to a game of Scrabulous soon. How is ds2 getting on with sschool?

Hi Susan, love your username !
Day 1 - Hector managed to find a plastic bowl full of stagnant water ( it really did stink ) under a hedge, they kindly changed his clothes, I gave him a shower when we got home, few minutes later I then had to wash his hair ( thank goodness the shouting & screaming has stopped ).
His teacher appears to be a very effective teacher, she allows him time out, he chooses to play on the computer rather than go outside after lunch ( too noisy ). He has school dinners every day as I am wanting him to experience normality, he appears to love roast diners ! He had his reading assessment on Wed and she has given him a reading age of 8.2, as she wants to be certain that he understands what he is reading (Hyperlexia ).

On Thurs I phoned the SALT as we have a meeting on Thurs at School as she is wanting to expain her report and demonstrate the programme to school staff, she was very pleased that I had called her regarding the reading assessment.

Hope all is well with you ! Is Alan back to good health ? Hector currently has a cold ( we think ) or it could be the Allergic Rhinitus kicking in again. Need to put more PetalCleanse on Trickys coat.

Steady on with the real names! Mumsnet posts show up on a google search so it is usual to use acronyms such as ds2 (dear son 2) etc.

Sounds like the school are pretty clued up!
