Proud gush - had our best day out ever with our little walker!

To celebrate Lottie not using hr frame anymore (they stopped using it in school this week) we took her and DD2 to the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum.

It was just fab to have both girls running around the NHM, Lottie deciding which way we were going, Eve really loving every single glass cabinet displaying all the different animals etc. It was just so great.

Then onto the science museum where we have been about 27 times with Lottie but she's never been able to walk round and enjoy things her way before, she's always been on her bum or in our arms. It was so, so lovely watching her just powering her way around, arms flapping, huge grin, shouting to us "come on, dis way"!

And on the way out she had an icecream in one hand and she walked the whole way, the whole length from the lifts through the space bit to the main doors, people parting to make way for her

D and I just kept looking at each other, smiling and shaking our heads in disbelief, and then back to our little walker, steaming on ahead!

When we got home and the car pulled up alongside the house she said 'busy day mummy, busy day"!!!!!!!!

Yeah a busy, great day
At last

Blu - just read your post out to D and we both had a little moment! First off at you remembering the Sherringham pebble moment. I'd forgotten for a moment and it all came back to me. God, how far we've come since then Ohhhh I have that pebble moment on film somewhere but I can picture it now and it makes me all goosepimply The 2nd moment that D and I had was little boy Blu and his bike moment. Ohhhhh WOW. That must have been such, such a special moment for you. I'm proud of him, God knows how you must feel! Bless that child

Lourobert - I look forward to sharing that moment with you through mumsnet when it does happen for you
