no - I had a good blub tonight. Agree, so far it's been really well handled, hope they can keep the momentum.

I'm not up to date with Enders at the moment. What's the storyline?

coppertop · 07/09/2006 20:44

I was about to say "Yes. The acting's dire and everyone's always so miserable" - then realised this was the SN board.

coppertop · 07/09/2006 20:45

What's the storyline?

fuzzywuzzy · 07/09/2006 20:46

Billy and honey's baby has Downs Syndrome

misdee · 07/09/2006 20:46

honey and billys baby has downs syndrome.

Charleesunnysunsun · 07/09/2006 20:48

Not having had a child with Down Syndrome or any other Sn myself i'm afraid i can't relate but as long as it's tastefully done i think bringing these things to life for others to see is a good thing for Eastenders writers to do.

anniebear · 07/09/2006 20:53

I saw the last few minutes. Ellis doesn't have Down syndrome but does have special needs.........I cried

It's just hearing people (even if just acting) voice your own worries and concerns

coderoo · 07/09/2006 20:54

is thommy about?
hmm we need to watch her

YeahBut · 07/09/2006 21:02

They seem to be handling it sensitively, but yes, I am finding it hard to watch. I found the whole "I wanted her to be a doctor and now that's never going to happen" bit really moving - mirrored how dh and I felt about dd1's issues when we first found out.

mrs2shoes · 07/09/2006 21:17

agree yeahbut (dd has cp ) so remeber the disapointmet when we found that things wern't going to be normal so I think that was portrayed well

I heard the actress who plays Honey talking about the storyline on the radio and she seemed really keen to get it right in terms of acting iyswim.

Thomcat · 08/09/2006 20:34

Well that opened the flood gates. Jesus. havem't cried like that in a while. Didn't last long as I started to get a headache.

Think they handled the storyline and reactions brilliantly.

So far so very good.

saadia · 08/09/2006 20:38

yes it is very moving to watch

Beauregard · 08/09/2006 20:38

Have just posted in telly addicts

Just feel annoyed because of where they are going with the story ie adoption .

Thomcat · 08/09/2006 20:42

Oh please tell me hey aren't really going with the adoption storyline

Please.

fuzzywuzzy · 08/09/2006 20:42

Pfn they don't put Janet up for adoption, the story line is really upsetting though for the next few weeks.....

DelGirl · 08/09/2006 20:43

I thought the acting was good, brought tears to my eyes. I can't comment on the story line but pleased that those of you with downs' children think they are handling it well. Let's hope they bring out the positives. Hope i've worded that ok, sure ykwim, hopefully.

Thomcat · 08/09/2006 20:43

More upsetting than tonight, oh good god.
To watch or not to atch, that is the question.

DelGirl · 08/09/2006 20:44
