Have just seen ghosty's post about you definitely not coming back.

I for one think that this is a huge loss not only to me personally but to the whole of mumsnet. You have selflessly, even though having more than your hands full, gone out of your way to help and advise people on so many occassions.

I think mumsnet is a sadder place for not having you in it

SN will be a poorer place without you Jimjams. Your fellow MNrs owe you a huge emotional debt for all the support you have shown to others. Thank you.

I love you Davros and JimJams.

sunchowder · 14/07/2006 19:08

And I love Fio too.

Davros · 14/07/2006 19:08

Piss off

Oh, OK then, just a quick snog.

Even better, GROUP SNOG!

sunchowder · 14/07/2006 19:17

Yes, could use a snog--really do love you, you know that.

Jimjams is my earliest memory of MN. She is always a good read and never comes across as anything other than patient and calm. I have only skimmed the thread which has upset them and it strikes me that here we had two people using humour to get through the day. If you knew anyone who lived in Northern Ireland during the troubles you would be shocked at some of the humour that used to go on. People do it cos it relieves tension and in some small tiny way takes your mind of your worries. I didn't finish the thread so I don't know how bad it got.

Jimjams will be a real loss to MN and I hope she might reconsider her departure.

I will certainly miss JimJams too.
JimJams was the first person to reply to my first ever post on Mumsnet in May of 2003. Always knew who to look for when had any issues with speech, development or to answer my vax questions.
It always amazed me that someone whose life was so full managed to find the time and energy to support and advise others time and time again;

I feel the same as everyone else about Jimjams - she has helped me so much, and I feel really sad at the thought of her having left here. I am an irregular poster but hers and Davros and Fio's no nonsense but sensitive approach to SN has carried me through times of major stress and anxiety. I for one have missed the whole jabs/vax debate and would dearly love to know Jimjams and others views on the safety of vaccinations (can anyone fill me in?) and now because of all this we are all going to miss out. Please reconsider Jimjams, if you are reading this. We all need you but want to support and be there for you too.

(But I don't really understand this thread. What is a troll? And is Jimjams2 the same Jimjams)

I hope that JJ does get to see this thread at some point, as so many of us will miss her posting here.

Thank you for all the advice and support that you have given.

All the best to you JJ and the rest of the jj family.
