I can only think of 3 - Jordan, David Cameron and India Knight. Can anyone add to this list? I'm really curious and I'd like to know what sort of care and education they choose (presuming money's not a big problem)

The bloke with the curly hair who plays the semi sadistic and funny doc on Scrubs has a child with DS and does masses of work for the American DS association

Lowris Turner has an autistic sister I think.

Did anyone hear David Cameron on Desert Island discs a few weeks back? He spoke about his eldest son who has epilepsy and CP. Sue Lawley asked IMO, some overly personal questions, including a couple of Qs about the risk of recurrence. I'd have bopped her one I think . It's on the beeb site if anyone's interested.

~Billy Connelly has a lovely daughter with learning difficulties. Cant remeber exactly what. I think she was low-functioning AS. I worked with her about 6 years ago in the US.

dinosaure · 26/06/2006 10:12

Neil Young has two sons with CP.

dinosaure · 26/06/2006 10:13

Sorry, ntt, I see you'd already posted about Neil Young - I am sure that in fact he has two sons, with different mothers, who have CP? One is very mildly affected, the other much more severely, I think.

I think its refreshing to read this !

Jimjamskeepingoffvaxthreads · 26/06/2006 19:25

why refreshing? Not having a go, just curious as to why its refreshing.

NotAnOtter · 26/06/2006 19:29

cos i think its too easy to look at 'famous' people and think 'life is so easy for them' ((Having a bad day feeling sorry for self ))

ntt · 26/06/2006 20:04

I think it's refreshing too and uplifting, makes me feel slightly more normal - like it can happen to anyone. Which it can.

What about Sophie Wessex? Have heard that is why we haven't seen their daughter in public...though clearly if it is true, they aren't taking a public stand.

ntt · 26/06/2006 20:57

harry enfield has a child with sn. dont know the details.

Thomcat · 26/06/2006 21:04

If Sophie Wessex has a child with SN's what the f'ing hell is she hiding that fact away for??????? Be proud of your child, stand up, do something positive.

ntt · 26/06/2006 21:08

That's what I thought Thomcat - but haven't the royal family got a bit of a secret history of hiding this sort of thing?

OP posts:
Thomcat · 26/06/2006 21:13

Then they reallyt are wnakers and should fuck off.
I hope to God that's not the case, I hope they don't hide such a normal, nayutal thing away. Like it's shameful. Shameful is the rest of them and their seedy little lives. seedy is not having a child with SN's and should never be hidden, by anyone, ever.
So angry at the thouhgt that might be true.
