Nah, I had leaky boobs for a while, and never went into labour Wink
Well just done bath and bedtime on my own and boy was it a struggle. There was at least one crying all the time, but thankfully now they are both asleep, I didn't manage to even put a vest on Alex, but I will do during one of the night feeds.
Not sure about nursery tomorrow now, he spiked a very low grade temp this aft, calpol sorted it out this time and he's had some calprofen before bed. So will see how the night goes.
The house is a tip (again) and I'm feeling under the weather with DS virus gggrrrr!
Yay for poo x

Isitme1 · 15/05/2013 21:19

I have a tip of a house but ds at nursery tomorrow so can hopefully get it all done plus ironing (15mins worth) and hosp bags packed.
Have some paracetamol you cant go down too!!
I've seen a new pushchair.

I need the icandy peach blossom 2!!its beautiful.

We have quinny buzz qnd and its similar to that but for both dc.
Need to justify £700+ with dh lol
Best excuse:
I can't handle 2 children out at the hospital (ds1 appointments) plus when he needs pump on where do i put baby?
When I need to go out how can I do both children?

What dya think?

Oh yea I know the one you mean, gorgeous ! Dh wouldn't let me ave another buggy Sad Elliot is too big to sit in a double anyway, and the single one we had for el was hardly used, as you couldn't put him down. So I'm investing in slings! Grin
I really wanted a stokke tell your dh you want one of them, when he says no, say well I could settle for a peachWink

Just woke up as remembered I'd not set Elliot's pump going, I thought it must be around 10pm! And of course woke Alex up so he's feeding now, and I need a wee!
Took some paracetamol before I went to sleep and all sweaty now so must have a bit of a temperature, throat feels horrible and glands swollen.

Isitme1 · 16/05/2013 07:44

Mum has a stokke but its been a pain to fold and it doesnt run as smooth as a 3 wheeler (quinny) as the 2 front wheels keep getting stuck on themselves.

Lol @the feeds.i sometimes forgwt to put water feed on at night. Id I miss it I just put it on early hours.
Your prob coming down with what els had.
We use the quinny all the time as we walkeevery where as he can drive but no licence and I can't lol. I think its a good investment. Going to enquire today.
From pramworld they cost 704 and a second hand is 500-700.
So good resale in it too.

Giddy hope you are feeling a lot better.
Don't talk to me about feeding. Old Fart frequently attatches Jay and Annabel to tubes and doesn't turn them on Confused Bless him. Must not grumble lovely friend in similar situation to me, DP had a massive stroke on Tuesday and has died. Hope your family are coping with DFIL's funeral

DGD prams are lovely but do babes care as long as they are loved. Have had 11 and never had a new pram. Did get new wheelchairs though Grin Showing my VERY old age, in my day .......yawn yawn.
I am sure you will be a fab mum to my DGGC whatever pram you have!!!

My scallywags are in respite this w/e but no rest for the wicked homegrowns coming.( 8 and 1 dog) Appointments all gone well Annabel's education review brilliant just one more tomorrow.

Where is oldsneeze
Sleep well I will
XX

Isitme1 · 17/05/2013 10:13

Aww bless him. The most dh does is turn ds pump off when it finishes lol.
Dh actually put his hand on bump without me guiding him to lol Grin

Bet you will be cooking over weekend then.
Glad the appointments went well.
Ds was cancelled and they rearranged it for October!! This was supposed to be an emergency appointment due to constipation, so I rang kicking off. My baby is not waiting until October ti have tests done on his bowel!!!

I would like everyone's opinion on breast milk down tube?
I was (most likely will be) going to do this so ds1 got a bit of goodness too. Can't see it doing any harm. Told dh about leaky boob and he was like well the pumphas ararrived ( it came yesterday! ) and start pumping a bit and stick it down his tube.
Giddy would you/have you done this?

well I kept bf Elliot while I was pregnant so there was no need to put it down the tube. I stopped in November (5 mo pg) as my nipples were too sore for him to carry on and I dont know if this is true or just me adding 1+1 and getting 5 but I know bf makes your uterus contract once baby is born so I was worried that bf later on would induce a premature labour. again im not sure maybe 2old can shed some light on the matter.Smile
alex being a boob monster today, have headache from dehydrationSad .
been trying to find something to wear for FIL funeral with not much success still a stone and half over weight so looking very lumpy in clothes I think long floaty things are the way to goWink
right getting the boys really for bed, feeling better today but throat still sore

Isitme1 · 17/05/2013 20:11

Ooh ok.
Yep ive heard that bf while pregnant can trigger contractions due to nipples being stimhlated or something thats why ive not started pumping yet to give ds1.

Long and floaty is all I know lol.

You might need antibiotics? Keep an eye on it

2old2beamum · 17/05/2013 21:41

My DGD I am afraid I am unable to give you any safe advice regarding feeding DGGS with breast milk (it is probably the best formula for him) My concerns are if you express breast milk the uterus could contract and percipitate premature labour. I bf no 1 homegrown until he was 6monhs whan I found out I was pregnant with no 2 (under a year between them what a laugh )

When breasts are suckled a hormone is released which stimulates the uterus . I may well be wrong and would be delighted to corrected!! Loads of love to DGGS xx

Giddy glad you are feelng a little better hope Alex doesn't gobble you up Grin
Went to assess Annabel for a trike today in school (62 mile round trip)
The trike was massive nearly as big as our 2nd car and would be unable to get it in house to store (wheels too wide)
Sleep well
me I will and get a lie in yipee
I have had Wine X4
XX

Isitme1 · 19/05/2013 09:33

Thats why ive not started pumping. Dont want to harm lo.

So if the wheels are too wide what else will theu provide you with?

You deserve a lie in granny!!
Ds woke up at 5am 'mama nappy change poo' so got up changed him and then he wouldn't go back to sleep!!

Hello all. I have been busy cooking, reduced avocados in Asda so had to make calorie rich, fruity snacks...strawberries, blueberries, cream etc...lovely Wink. Didn't eat any Grin. Also making buddy buttons as I have to make at least 10 before they start to look right, fiddly or what!

El has a trike too. He was trialled on the quest middle sized one and was totally swamped as it was huge on him at 4! I suppose annabel had the adult size so huge too. Can't wait to get el back out on the trike but he he still so tired from his virus, but half the nursery had it too. He loves nursery now so it is what it is.

I would be a bit wary of expressing breast milk in pg as it may contract the uterus. I can remember the horrid period like cramps every time bfing started Shock its a wonder anyone breast feeds but it does shift the podge.

20ld. Get your OF along to a well man clinic. Men are so bad with their health, unlike neurotic health conscious women!

New phone arrived from china, its pretty fab tbh. A samsung galaxy 3 clone lol Grin. Looks cool out and about. OF has a phone from the Jurassic age, so embarrassing when it comes out in public iyswim ...read that the way it was meant!

Appt in October is just not acceptable, end of!

Back to garden and planting up tubs Smile. sun keeps popping out to remind us what it looks like!

sneezecakesmum · 19/05/2013 14:06

Hi 20ld re soft touch sitter. Not sure about NHS funding as elbear has been very expensive lately to the NHS. Doubt SS as both working. Charities are our best bet but again a delay. I have a DGS slush fund and jess and s were going to get a ppod anyway so we will split the amount £150 each and not so bad as he can get it right away. Xxx

Isitme1 · 20/05/2013 09:09

Ooo avocados, they were one thing I enjoyed making. Sounds very nutritious!

Feel pretty shitty but I think its because everyone keeps commenting on how low bump jas gone which worried me. I really dont know how id cope with a child in hospital and 1 at home who needed me too. If push come to shove it would have to be done would keep ds with me half a day or something.

How is everyone?

Giddy hows your dh? Hope hes ok (funeral tomorrow? )

OP posts:
Giddypants · 20/05/2013 11:56

Yeah funeral tomorrow, Sad he's ok, worried about his mum but she's doing ok.
Isitme, my bump kept dropping then popping up try not to worry about it, if it came to it you would manage, because you would have to x

El had got his forest riding lesson today lets hope he doesn't go all silly again when he gets on the pony!

Alex has had. His 6 week check at nearly 8 weeks and all is ok with him too Smile so we're all ok here! Grin

2old hope your ok and your tiddlers enjoyed respite and you got some rest and lots of wine Grin

2old2beamum · 20/05/2013 13:08

Hi all hope all is well on this drab Monday morning

DGD Giddy is right if it happens it happens and by my reckoning you are ?34 weeks. Friend's DD had twins last Monday (30 weekers) and they are doing really well (3lb+ each) Nursed in air and tube feeding. How is DGGS how lovely to hear him say he needed his bum changing Smile Wish mine would Envy sorry!!
Re trike have given up on the idea, it was for leisure and she has got a wheelchair.Would need to build another extension.

Giddy goodluck with funeral. Glad Alex's 6 week check went well (obviously good stock) Hope El enjoyed his horse riding I do think it is so good for balance.

Had a good W/E not too much wine Grin
Oldsneeze yes OF does have checks our Surgery is very good at -looking after the elderly- the over 60's
xxx

2old2beamum · 20/05/2013 13:10

Should have been looking after the elderly doh

Isitme1 · 20/05/2013 21:30

Hope tomorrow goes easy on them.

Aww how did his riding lesson go?
Glad baby alex is doing well.

Granny im 31 weeks. Im pretty sure ive got kidney infection again as it hurts peeing and have cloudy pee. Past 45 mins ive had around 8 'tightenings' whichstarted as jjust tightening but now getting uncomfortable pain like.
Will see how they go. Hope they stop soon so I can get some sleep and not stress
X

OP posts:
Giddypants · 21/05/2013 09:05

Oh isitme, hope it clears up quickly, but don't let it carry on too long maybe see your gp of some antibiotics Sad
31 weeks, only 9 to go woo hoo, the end is in sight!Grin

The riding lesson went really well once Ben (pony) got moving he really enjoyed it big smiles and lots of chattering away to him Smile wasn't keen on stroking him afterwards though!

El just gone off to nursery, Alex is asleep. just watching the bbc news about the risks of co sleeping. It's all so confusing, I co slept with Elliot for 4 years Blush I remember the first night we brought him home, he would not sleep screamed the house down until we put him in our bed, we didn't plan to co sleep, but it was obvious that the only way any of us would get any rest was to cuddle him.
With Alex he can be put in his cot but he wakes up just as he has lulled you into a false sense that he is going to stay asleep, and wakes up crying.
So we co sleep so as not to wake el up.
However now we have moved into a different room (mattress on the floor) I may have to readdress the situation and pop him on his own mattress on the floor.
I think we are very low risk, don't smoke, drink, take drugs, breast feed, use sheets and blankets not a duvet. But I am of late quite a deep sleeper, but I do wake up easily when he stirs.
Dh is now in the main bedroom with Elliot, and since he has been there he has only fussed once through the night, but settled very quickly and stayed in his own bed, albeit with his head on our mattress Grin
I think he knows who the soft one is!

Isitme1 · 21/05/2013 15:31

Im going to go to gps tomorrow I think. Mum taking lil bro so I should be able to get myself an appointment. Neee to get chest checked too as I can feel a rattle on my right side when breathing.

Giddy I think we will have to put mattress on the floor lol the bed keeps breaking (its 3 different beds put together)

I co slept for a while but when ds was a lilolder (4 months plus I think)
How was the funeral?
Its not rained here hope the weather is nice for you there.

Have a look at the sky news website and what the people are saying there about co sleeping. Very interesting.

reading into it a bit more it sounds very scare mongery (if that is a word) evn so I will try to get him in his own bed
funeral wemt well standing room only in the church poor dh got up to say his bit but didn't get past the first line so the vicar read what he had written instead Sad he did well to just get up there I know I couldn't
just waiting for him to get home and we can head off to bed

Isitme1 · 21/05/2013 20:46

Aww bless.

I read the comments nd they are actually sticking up for co sleeping saying stuff like since day0 we havr co slept and its just another thing to blame cot death on
Animals do it and they dont blame it for cot death (something along them lines)
Have a look on the page and its at the bottom. It will reassure you.

Did I mention I:

  • cleaned bannister
-cleaned fridge -washing done -beds stripped -skirting boards done -kitchen done -under bed hoovered -bathroom done

:)
Had a thought last night that this baby is not coming home to a shit tip :)

GrandaughterOMG I hope this is not the nesting instinct that precedes labour!!!!!
Just slow down A baby does not care a toss Grin
Although I have always been po faced about co sleeping you do make a good point.

Giddy glad Eli enjoyed his horse riding, advice please what can we do with Jay who extends so much some days he now finds it difficult to sit at all......roll on SDR. Hope today was not too stressfull XX

Life rolls on here with hiccups. OF has been doing school runs 60 mile round trip X2/day as some oik threw something threw school bus window. We trust the driver and escort so much that we are scared we might lose them if the service is not seamless.

Sleep well you little (s)tinkers

Isitme1 · 22/05/2013 10:06

I still want to do cupboards and I know if I do it today dh will go mad at the food I want to chuck lol.
Hes back at work tomorrow so will do it then ;)

Aw poor jay I can't really suggest anything about the extending it still affects elli but not to jays extent, does he have any triggers? With elli it's excitement and frustration which we try to avoid. I've heard intrathecal baclofen is good for it but el isn't bad enough and can to some extent control it. But I suppose if they are doing SDR it's unlikely they will do the baclofen too.
Awful about the mini bus too there are some sick bastards in this world what was the gain in putting windows through?

Isitme take it easy! Sit down with a nice cup of tea and relax.
I learned the hard way as I fell off the stool cleaning windows, not to mention laying laminate flooring in mums house when 7 months pregnant with el, my god did I pay for it the next day Hmm

El met his new school teacher and 1:1 today, who were quite taken with him, I mentioned the blended diet that he's on and I think it went down ok I think if there is no alternative they have to give him it right? They can't withhold food surely?

Alex is fine eating and sleeping Grin

sneezecakesmum · 23/05/2013 18:28

Buddy buttons are getting neater. Only made a few thousand so far to get them looking half decent Grin. Think its the posh bamboo fabric which is difficult to work with, but its sooo soft on delicate skin. Shame about not being able to get a trike, but the big ones are really huge. Wish the weather would get better, hailstones today. Tsunami tomorrow maybe?

Put your feet up isitme (DS allowing of course).
