I checked earlier and there was no thread, then lost track of time entering loads of online competitions, because I reckon it's about time we had some good luck!
NoHaudin, sorry to hear about the relapse. I am just coming out of something very similar and know how hard it is. Take care of yourself.
MrsNev, really sorry to hear about your tough week and then such sad news on top. I know it's not enough, but am sending you a great big virtual ((hug)).
Ellen - I would dearly love you to be ds's TA, as you already know. Sadly, not only do we live too far to commute
he is now not going to get any 1:1 come September, as we won't have had our appeal heard by then.
It's been a long, busy week here, starting with a day out with the dcs for INSET on Monday and then my birthday on Tuesday, when I became, er ... ahem ... years old and spent the day mooching in IKEA with my Mum and dd.
Then things started to get a little strange with ds1 and by yesterday he was acting very odd, even for ds1. Still not sure what the problem is, but he is spacing out, losing balance and really not right at all. A bit worried about the possibility of absences again (we went through similar last year but had our concerns dismissed by his Paed with no investigations). His first cousin (who also has AS) and granny both have epilepsy, so it's not something I think the docs should be too quick to dismiss. Going to keep a very close eye on him this weekend and see what we think come Monday. There is always the possibility of it being a balance type problem, but then that really only explains part of what's been going on.
BUT Star's new arrival cheered me right up when I logged on this afternoon and I will admit to shedding a little tear, whilst grinning like the Cheshire cat. Nothing like a snuggly newborn to lift the spirits.
