Thought I'd start tonight as noone else has. Hope the back to school hasn't been to bad for those that had half term.

We are still struggling but managed to get DS into school everyday and only late once. He had a geography GCSE paper yesterday which he didn't finish. His lack of a sense of timing is obviously going to be a problem too.

DD yr7 came home with a very good report.

Sleep deprivation has finally caught up with me and I have had a pretty bad ME relapse so trying to rest this weekend.

Looking forward to reading everyone else's news even if it isn't as exciting as Star's!

Hi nohaudin, Dd2 is so laid back she is virtually horizontal TBH.

She has already done her maths and got a B and has done quite a few modulars which she has mainly be doing well in. She should be fine in IT and PE. The only worrying one is her English, she is very possibly dyslexic but wont let me get her assessed.

Still she only needs 3 more A-C's to get into college so she should do it.

Fingers crossedSmile

Am looking forward to Dd3's concert, the DC's are singing with the adult choir who are semi proffessional and have sung all over the place. The sound is stunning. the songs are a bit over religious for me but when they are in different languages no one knows what they are singing about anywayGrin

Moosemama - I wonder if you'd get a less laissez-faire response to your DS's episodes if you took him to A&E?

Not sure ouryve, because they are over so quickly that he wouldn't be presenting by the time we got there.

I honestly don't have a clue if it's epilepsy related. The paed did the paper blowing test when we saw him last year, but ds coughed twice during the test, so definitely wasn't hyperventilating, rendering the test useless.

He seemed very confident that it wasn't epilepsy related absences at the time and has put 'ASD related zone-outs' down on every report since (although I noticed the paed that did ds's Statutory Assessment medical put 'absences' in her report). I wasn't impressed with the first paed's attitude at the time, as we had recently had 'episodes' of freezing up reported to us by ds2, ds1's best friend and his teacher, plus I had witnessed something very odd through his classroom window at pick-up time and he had twice spontaneously wet himself whilst seeming frozen and uncommunicative. BUT we haven't really had any more cause for concern since then, so probably roughly a year - until this week. Confused

Hello!

Last night went very well. Still in shock that of 34 films made this term, mine was one of 11 to be screened.

Got to go to a Skillset meeting to help the course get accredited next week, giving my view as a disabled student. Should be interesting.
