Hi all.

I'm going out again tonight, so am getting in early Smile. Me and DH are going to a fundraised for DS's school which should be a good night out for us both. It's a social one.

It's been a good week here. DS's school is moving in with another 2 schools and a nursery to a new purpose built school in a park on Mon. He's been a bit unsettled, but coping very well considering. We've had some ups and downs with DD's school project, but seem to be getting there now. I've got on with a bit more of my MSc and DH has worked out some stuff that we can claim back on tax.

claw4 · 18/05/2012 18:46

Devient, class A's, dont really go with the light weight wine and lemonade though, i think we might need to up our game a bit!

SallyBear · 18/05/2012 18:47

Yes it was lovely Badvoc. I must have looked really stunned! It was all done in context too, so even better. It's his new SS. Making all the difference! Grin

devientenigma · 18/05/2012 18:48

devientenigma · 18/05/2012 18:49

2old2beamum · 18/05/2012 18:49

wet you have had made me Grin class A drugs indeed.
Glad some of you have a good week.
Hope all you gadabouts have a good time Envy
Can I join the less fortunate DS4 full of snot and as is deafblind panics when nose is full. DD4's tube feed disconnected over night bed full of rank smelling milk, duvet soaked pillow ruined and hair needed washing-massive hissy fit at 06.30. Finally DD2 downs heart failure asthma summoned for ESA assessment, instructions for 35 mile journey catch 4 buses and be there for 09;30. I am pissed off.
Wine and more Wine please join me!!

davidsotherhalf · 18/05/2012 18:49

hey wet can you bake some very nice soft cookies for the boss, plenty of brown sugar in them.....(give him sh*ts for a month) lol

claw4 · 18/05/2012 18:50

Sallybear im so Envy a night out with the girls, sounds great and aww to the mummy.

StarlightMcKenzie · 18/05/2012 18:50

claw - the HT is refusing to tell you the purpose?

That's just silly. Tell her you have a huge number of demands on your time and you need to prioritise and without a 'purpose' you cannot make an informed decision about whether or not it is necessary to attend or whether whatever it is about can be addressed other ways.

claw4 · 18/05/2012 18:53

Devient, water and dancing naaah im too old school, vodka and toilet paper trailing from knickers on the dance floor sounds more me!

hazeyjane · 18/05/2012 18:56

Sally, just don't get the gin and chanel mixed up.

very glad it's friday here. take away and wine when dcs go to sleep.......

devientenigma · 18/05/2012 18:57

So claw was more expensive nightclub than all night illegal rave?

WetAugust · 18/05/2012 18:57

LOL! Like your style Davidsotherhalf Grin Trouble is there must be no forensic residue or I'll lose my pension.

Actually I think this Biscuit will do for a combined Prozac / Anti-psychotic pill.

Have a Biscuit everyone.

I'll take a packet in for the boss on Monday

claw4 · 18/05/2012 18:57

Hi star, yep.

"could you come into school on x day at x time"

Me "yeah sure, what is it regarding"

"i would prefer to discuss it face to face"

Me "thats fine, we dont have to discuss it now, just an idea of what to expect"

"we will discuss it face to face on x day"

Im past caring to be honest Star, if she springs something on me. I will just sit there and say "sorry, i will have to get back to you"

Waste of her time and mine and a very short meeting!

NoHaudinMaWheest · 18/05/2012 18:59

2old throughly entitled to be pissed off I would think. When I worked for CAB, I used to suspect that DWP deliberately made assessment appointments difficult to put people off.
Sallybear great about the mummy. I'm beginning to think I'm going to be doing London hospital in August too. Really looking forward to fighting the Olympic traffic.

davidsotherhalf · 18/05/2012 19:00

wet there won't be evidence cos it will be flushed away lol

claw4 · 18/05/2012 19:01

Deviant, i was classy girl i will have you know, the toilet roll was Andrex!

Noooo all that illegal rave stuff, in a muddy field, bit too much like camping!

lexielexielexie · 18/05/2012 19:02

2old2beamum - i can sympathise with you when it comes to overnight feeds and spillages! DD is only pump at night so during the day we're still on syringes and her new trick is to cause as much chaos and spillages as possible! i went to work with sticky trousers and a lovely lingering odour!

StarlightMcKenzie · 18/05/2012 19:03

Yeah - 'I'll have to get back to you' or 'could you put that in writing?' or 'Should I put you in touch with a behavioural analyst you could seek advice from?' Pretty much covers most things.

WetAugust · 18/05/2012 19:03

Claw

Your HT is a control freak. Boss does this to me - We'll get together next week for an hour or so. Me: Why? Him: We'll discuss it then.
It's usually some ridiculously trivial matter such as him wanting an explanation as to why Janet is sat next to Jane this week - when we're allowed to book a desk wherever we want to. FFS! Is that all he's got to worry about? DRIVES ME MAAAAAAD!!!!

Just tell him he's an asshole - just as I plan to do in a few months time.... Grin

claw4 · 18/05/2012 19:06

I might just take a few of Wet's Biscuit, look her right in the eye and say "face, boovered" to everything she says and spin her around on her swivel chair on the way out!

2old2beamum · 18/05/2012 19:09

lexie Eau de Pepsisorb is my perfume competing with Chanel No 5

signandsmile · 18/05/2012 19:13

hi all, wet and claw Sad sorry week has been so crappy.
create hope your eve goes well.

i am so relieved cos did my 3rd obs for my teaching practice and got an outstanding Grin Grin really plsed.

also have just read few pages of book to ds for proper bedtime story, first time. Grin. he had got to like having cd in the car (roald dahl) so i bought a set of his books and ds sat on my bed this morning and 'read' to me. ok lots of the tough words were missed, but he did actions and signs along with the bits he could read... Grin charlie and the great glass elevator.

so thrilled, i doubted it would ever happen...

WetAugust · 18/05/2012 19:14
