Hi Chundle, sympathies to your dd1 - I also have an ear infection and it's horrible. Poor dh too, stomach ulcers are no fun (been there done that as well
) - not had a hernia though. Hope dd's blood test is quick and painless.
Good news about the 1:1, always such a relief when schools are keen to help instead of constantly stalling and evading.
Imogen, saw your thread re OT. Sounds like they were about as much use as a chocolate teapot then.
When the school didn't respond to us about bullying incidents, we wrote up what we knew from our perspective and presented them with that. This finally resulted in them getting several children to write witness statements, plus ds and the bully to write their own versions of what happened - and - lo and behold, it proved once and for all that ds was definitely being seriously bullied. It was this that led to them shuffling the classes and moving the bully into a different class. Keep on at them and put all your questions and statements in writing, even if they don't respond.
Crappy week here, as I said I've got an ear infection and have also had a horrible head, eye, neck pain thing going on. Feels like it could all be connected and coming from some sort of inflammation. I know it's my own fault though, I've done far too much over the past few weeks and a crash was kind of inevitable. Unfortunately I have tickets to a festival with dh and dd next weekend, so it's not over yet and if I have to miss that I shall cry.
I have also eaten just about my own weight in chocolate this week whilst feeling sorry for myself and am now too scared to get on the scales.
It's FILs birthday party tomorrow and I'm supposed to have made a gazillion cupcakes, plus a couple of victoria sandwiches. Been too rough all day, so am hoping to recruit dh to help me throw them together later this evening. Of course, will have to make a gf version of everything as ewll so that ds1 doesn't miss out. I usually love baking, but I only ever seem to get asked when I'm well enough these days.
Moaning aside, the school has been very good with ds2 and his hypermobility and are doing everything they promised they would to help him be more comfortable and to encourage him to speak up when he's in pain. I have also contacted his paed, who was actually interested in receiving some more family history to help him work out what to do next, which was a pleasant surprise.
Ds1 has had a good week at school, but is waaay behind on yet another school project - rivers/water this time with three mini projects, which he refuses to even start. We're supposed to be going to a museum of canal history on Sunday to help him, thrilling as that may sound, I am really not sure I'm going to be up to it.
