Evening everyone.

Not an all together rubbish week, but a letter home from school to say that the SENCO is leaving, which is a bit of a concern as she's been brilliant and I don't know what the new one will be like.

Gracious - I had problems toilet training DS so I put him back in pull-ups and then tried again in 6 months and it worked. He's still not dry at night though and he's 5 now.

asdx2 · 27/05/2011 20:38

Oh enjoy, hope you have a fantastic time.

nenevomito · 27/05/2011 20:40

Have a great time Ellen Envy

Enjoy your holiday Ellen.

Evening babyheave. Sorry your SENCo is leaving. Change is always rather terrifying in this world.

Welcome back Lollipop, congrats on the new job.

graciousenid · 27/05/2011 20:58

thanks everyone - have 2 of 3 asleep & a tiny glass of wine - more tears from ds about nursery 'I was sad today at nursery and I was angry with daddy' :(

DS is dry at night (has been for ages) & will get up to use the toilet if needed, hence the 'he's perfectly capable of being toilet trained' - I honestly don't know if it's behavioural or psychological or bowel related. We've made no real sustained progress in the last 18 months with day time toileting - he has nappies from the inco service now, I constantly switch between don't want him to lose the skills he has & lets leave it and try again in a few months.

Sigh.

Smug - great news about the weaning .... I hope it helps with sleep (it didn't with ds (melatonin has been a miracle for us) but I was so relieved when he finally stopped anyway!).

IndigoBell · 27/05/2011 21:08

Congratulations Lollipop! Well done.

Ellen - enjoy Turkey.

Evening

60 posts on this thread already. I have to apologise for not catching up, I'm being pathetic cus I have a horrible cold and stomach bug.

Frustrating week here, very little - if any, progress.

Did notice your ds survived his trip! Had to laugh at him tipping the y5 teacher in the water - great stuff! Grin

Thanks Gracious, I stopped at night for months before DD came along and it made no difference then but DH forgets that and blames EVERYTHING on breastfeeding. Well I had no idea so many of you on here bf for a long time too. I suppose it goes along with anxiety problems doesnt it as it is a massive comfort for them. Its only been three days and as I am feeding DD then I suppose he can change his mind but I really do hope he doesnt. I feel guilty saying that but its been his choice so I mustnt feel guilty.

Your glass of wine will help. So sad when they say they feel sad isnt it.

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 27/05/2011 21:50

Thanks for the good wishes everyone, nearly finished packing. Early night for us, have to be up at 4.00am.
