Wouldn't be without our trampoline either. Hope he is the same tonight. :)

chuckeyegg · 26/03/2011 17:48

Actually while we are on the subject of trampolines DS speech seemed to really come on after we got him one. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just coincidence.

superfantastic · 26/03/2011 17:59

We have a mini trampolene indoors too, DD is never off it! :) (only £20 in Argos btw)

Ineedalife · 26/03/2011 18:04

We love our trompoline too.

Dd3 spends ages on hours bouncing round in circlesGrin.

We have a gymball and wobble cushion in the house, don't think I could cope with a trapoline as well.

Hope your DS sleeps well again MAD.Smile

My ds loves his trampoline, bounces away for hours. cant get him in. Hurry up some good weather, then i'll get a break, lol.

smashingtime · 26/03/2011 20:24

I love trampolines too! DD has improved in her strength and balance by so much since we got one I can barely believe it! Is also fantastic for wearing them out by bedtime. Mine would be on it 24/7 if they could be Grin

5inthebed · 26/03/2011 20:27

I bought a trampoline for the Dc yesterday, and typicaly it rains! Can't wait to get some use out of it though.

£99 from Asda for 10ft with enclosure if anyone wants one.

bubble2bubble · 26/03/2011 20:40

DDs have been known to go on the trampoline in waterproofs in rain or snow Grin .
DD1 especially always has a good speech day after a good bounce!

rebl · 26/03/2011 20:49

Swear by the trampoline here.

TheNinjaGooseIsOnAMission · 26/03/2011 20:49

5inthebed, we got that one this week for dd3 Smile it's her birthday on monday.

Chundle · 26/03/2011 20:59

Dd1 goes on her trampoline whatever the weather. Going to get. Mini one with a handle for dd2 to use in the house I think they're fab!

moosemama · 26/03/2011 21:58

5inthebed, thank you so much for that tip off. We have just been given £50 each for the boys' birthdays in April and now I know exactly what to spend it on. Grin

Eveiebaby · 26/03/2011 22:12

I agree trampoline is great for improving balance and strength. DD always seems so much more alive after a good bounce on the trampoline!

autumnsmum · 27/03/2011 10:51

i love my boys one it calms him hugely

EllenJane1 · 27/03/2011 11:01

We have had a trampoline for 7 years and finally took the safety enclosure down last year. My boys loved it, but they are so computer obsessed that they don't like to go outside much anymore. It was fantastic for about 3 years, though, well worth the huge chunk of garden it takes up. (Looks less in your face with the net gone!)

We got it after reading one of Nick Hornby's books where he had an introduction about his DS (ASD) bouncing naked in the garden at midnight in the winter! Grin

Triggles · 27/03/2011 18:12

we have a mini-trampoline for DS2. absolutely love it! when he starts getting restless, we can say "go jump to 25" and off he bounces, counting along happily. And he seems to be able to get some of the "manic" out when bouncing each day! Grin

MADABOUTTHEBOY2000 · 27/03/2011 18:33

Today was a sunny day, and Ds12 spent most of the day on the trampoline. DS2 never asked for melatonin before bed, and he was out like a light! Not expecting it to last, but it is a good thing. Means he will be in the garden more, rather than screaming to go on the DSi.

5inthebed · 27/03/2011 22:36

Sorry, that should read DS1+2. I don;t have 12 dc ;)

hocuspontas · 27/03/2011 22:44

I have a large rectangular trampoline (15' x 9'), complete with steps and safety net that my children have grown out of. I was thinking of donating it to a day centre or any organisation that would get some use out of it. Does anyone know anywhere in the South East that would be interested?

colditz · 27/03/2011 22:49

Does anyone know where I can get one that's suitable for a sloped garden??

EllenJane1 · 27/03/2011 23:05

I just dug a trench around one of the legs until it was flat(ish). You can also dig a pit, can be safer as the trampoline bed is at ground level so falling off is less dangerous.

cornsilk678 · 28/03/2011 05:06

do you have an enclosure ellenjane?

Hocus pocus. I know a respite centre in Kent that may well want it if you want me to to find out....you have probably already rehomed it though
