Yes please Ben10.

DS loves his trampoline too. He spends hours on in bouncing around in circles. Unless its belting down with rain, he's on it in all weathers. Much better than him running up and down the house which is his other favourite preoccupation!

Thanks NothernSky for your message, it does really seem to help DS communication. On the morning he see his autism advisory person the session goes so much better if he's had a good bounce. :)

Hi cornsilk. We abandoned the enclosure after 6 years. We've just got a small trench to keep it level. The enclosure was essential initially! But a bit of an eyesore.

Hocuspocus, just PMed you.

We have just this afternoon gone and bought an 8ft trampoline from Argos as I wouldn't have had any space to walk round it if I'd bought the 10ft one! Grin

Those of you who have trampolines indoors, which types do you have?

DS would love a trampoline but we have no garden, and he is too big for the toddler type with a hand bar on (he had one of these as a toddler and used to bounce on it for about an hour then lay down on it and go to sleep!) Smile

You can get a rebounder at about 1.2m dia but they can be very firm, more suited to adult weight, so not that bouncy.

ilovesprouts · 28/03/2011 20:10

my ds2 loves his trampoline the best £120 spent ever :)

Ben10isthespawnofthedevil · 29/03/2011 07:01

I agree. Our rebounder has hardly been used as he hardly gets off the tramp bed due to not being strong enough combined with the lack of weight.

WhoWhoWhoWho · 29/03/2011 14:03

DS has got the weight to bounce on a rebounder but I think if he had a rebounder with no safety net or hand bar he will forget himself and bounce off! Hmm Trouble is he is too big for the type with a hand bar and the types with the safety net are too big for indoors.

He would really benefit from one though I think....

smileANDwave2000 · 08/04/2011 19:33

how about a trampoline club WhoWhoWho we've one locally at a gym club so they can go on other things while its not their turn

Ben10isthespawnofthedevil · 08/04/2011 19:43

We do trampoline club every Saturday and it is perfect as he gets 1:1 coaching while he is on the tramp.

WhoWhoWhoWho · 09/04/2011 18:16

Thanks for suggestion of trampoline club, it's a great idea which I am defintely going to look into Smile

What ours also does is let DS do the "preschool" badges so he still gets the sense of achievement. He is dyspraxic so after 6 months is still struggling on the most basis skills but has 3 badges and 3 certificates so he has been given a huge amount of confidence from that.
