The ADHD thread is the last straw..!

People saying "oh but that's normal for a 4 year old" etc.

They have NO CLUE.

It's totally spoiling MN for me and there are just more and more of them coming out of the woodwork. Sad

Fanjo - just sticking with this thread is not a bad thing. I agree after reading the other boards (even just primary education) I normally feel depressed and anxious. Not sure why I keep persisting though....

bullet234 · 23/08/2010 13:30

I read the ADHD thread and really couldn't be bothered replying to it. I don't think the OP was after a discussion, I think they were just after an argument.

Have just started my first thread ever in AIBU. Am positively scared now

Glitterknickaz · 23/08/2010 15:24

They're not taking it seriously, unfortunately sc13.

I'd like to start AIBU to think MNHQ are actively condoning disablism.

By virtue of they would delete racist content immediately, the poster would probably face a ban, but posting disablist rubbish is not deleted or even commented on.

Therefore MN must be happy to be considered a site that welcomes this kind of comment.

I did wonder Smile
There are small-minded, petty and prejudiced people everywhere, including mumsnet and the freedom that anonymity gives you can make people more vicious and unreasonable than in real life.
The hardcore won't get it, so I just like to give them a prod with a sharp stick whenever I can. Just Because.

Fantastic news!
That calls for cake, or wine or both.

I have a 20 yr old lad with adhd working for me. He is an absolute delight, though does need directing when he gets distracted :o but I can't see how he could make it up? pray tell?Confused

Lougle · 23/08/2010 17:10

I emailed MNHQ and they haven't even replied let alone acknowledged it. Biscuit

Glitterknickaz · 23/08/2010 17:29

I am not in the least surprised, Lougle.
The disabled are a fair target according to some. MNHQ must agree.
