im at this point if it’s a decline thinking of inviting the decision maker to my house to witness what my son is like😩🤣xx

I feel the same.. my daughter last night went to sleep 11pm. I’d set alarm 2am to change nappy as she has incontinence issues . She’d had a poo leaked, so bath at 2am.. then she went back to sleep at 5am to then wake up 6am again 😤 running on monster energy drink today. Daughter gone into school and is instantly asleep in assembly. Just a standard night in this house. I have a 5 year old boy too, it feels like he’s pushed aside a little with how high needs my daughter has which I feel awful about. Xx

@Mumto4and5 i feel the same! My little boy doesn’t sleep till around 11-11:30 and we are up at least 3/4 times in the night screaming and then changing as he drinks hell of a lot he’s obsessed with his beaker so it makes him urinate more than your average child of his age which he then leaks through! Can never find nappies or pull ups that hold him in the night. It’s awful isn’t it my older son is 11 so he understands a bit more about his brothers needs. He’s totally non verbal aswell he doesn’t say one word so trying to understand what he wants and needs is all a learning curve! We’ve got this though xx

Our children sound pretty similar. My daughter drinks crazy amounts as well as she’s got glue ear so has constant congestion. I’m the same with nappies, think I’ve tried every single brand of nappies now. The pampers premium nappy pants as the best for us at the minute but costing a fortune. I even double nappy her on a night now too lol xx

@Mumto4and5 yes I’ve found those ones to be the best they can be abit on the expensive side unless they are on offer lol! How old is your little one? Ive just applied for a pre school for him in my area as the others declined him because they never had enough staff for his needs as he head bangs hell of a lot so I’m hoping they can meet his needs I think it would be good for him! At 29 I feel around 60 and could sleep for 60 years at this point I’m deffo running on thin air lol. So I think if we get a decline I’ll deffo be inviting him/her to come sit at my house🤣xx

Yes but not happy they didn’t backdate to the date I called. I had a safeguarding emergency with police and social care involved with my daughter for 3 weeks so my form was 4 days late. I don’t know if i can be bothered to do a
mr over it tho. But yes I got what I thought I would. Middle rate care low rate mobility

@Lovely1589 congratulations! I sent my forms off a few days late too so mine will be the same! I think I’m going to ring today and just see if any update but I can imagine it’s still in the queue to be picked up by the decision maker x

Lovely I have 4 children with high needs. One that moved to her dad. She took up all my time and I used to feel guilty, but let me assure you we are there when they need us Everytime, it might feel you give more attention to your highest need children but trust me subconsciously you are there even if feels like you aren’t of get me. Some days one child needs more time but we always do it hun, don’t worry yourself x

@Md234 my little one is 4. That’s the thing I think that could cause it to be a decline even though I know how much care she requires. My girl has just started reception last month , they’re really struggling with her though at the moment and she’s getting lots of injuries . I’m giving it until October half term and see whether I think she’s best being at school or not. I do wish they’d come to the house and witness it first hand or be allowed to send recordings. Xx

@Lovely1589glad you got what you felt your child deserves . I know what you mean about the MR, it’s the risk they could take the whole claim away isn’t it . It’s just the mum guilt isn’t it, life would be so much easier if I had more of a support unit too. The family seem to avoid as they can’t cope with her. It’s horrible , I’m just hoping things will get easier in time xx

Update scan date 28/7 it is now with a decision maker!! But no decision has been made yet xx

@Mumto4and5 yeh I think my little boy will be declined due to his age! I don’t know when to next ring cos I don’t want to pester lol hopefully yours is with a decision maker now too! I really do think it’s going to be a decline though x

I’m going to ring around 2 I think to see if they’ve got the evidence I sent . Xx

@Lynseyxx I’ve noticed that you get told different things a lot, I got told my scan date was the 28/7 then a man told me Monday it was 14/8 when infact it was the 28/7 lol very confusing! Sometimes I think they just tell you stuff to get you off the phone quicker x

14/6 declined on 5th Oct done an appeal they have until the 3rd of November sons current award for asthma and adhd is mrc

Hi has anyone done a coc recently and know rough wait time scan date 15th July currently 12 weeks and heard nothing x

Hi again - thanks for your response. I called on Tuesday and they said it hasn't been reviewed yet. The lady was lovely but basically said there's no point calling again as we don't need any information off you currently and you just have to wait.

It took a lot of building up to call as I wasn't mentally prepared for a decline. The positive was there's still hope so I guess I just have to wait.
