Forcing ds to school

He's been diagnosed with sensory processing disorder and currently getting assessed for asd.

After a year of trying different things to get him to stay at school, it's come down to the only way to get him in is him screaming and crying uncontrollably while 2 teachers restrain him so he can't run to me, so i walk away and leave him at school.

Do you think this is an acceptable way to do it?

Ellie OP's DS isn't yet CSA, so at the moment there's no statutory requirement for the LA to provide alternative education.

Ah yes sorry I was thinking he would be compulsory school age next term.

But equally @qwertypoiu
you can't be fined for non attendance or poor attendance.

Have you spoken to the GP or tried getting a referral to CAMHS about the high anxiety around school?

I would also be looking round other schools to see if a) they are more suitable anyway and b)have staff that are a bit more clued up about children with sensory difficulties.
